My husband surprised me for our 26th wedding anniversary with a whale watching trip with SLO Tours. I can honestly say this was a bucket list trip! Captain Micheal is AMAZING!!!! He is so friendly, knowledgable and you can feel his love for the ocean. His boat has seats for all guests; on the bow in front, in the back or inside the warmer cabin. Within 20 minutes into our tour, he found us a pair of whales and tons of sea lions. We stayed with these whales, moving through the ocean with them, the entire trip. The weather was beautiful and no one aboard got sick because his boat feels like it floats on the water. Seriously a MUST do trip. Highly recommend Captain Micheal of SLO Tours above the rest! I will be a returning customer. Thank you Captain Micheal for making this a special day for us.

An absolute amazing experience with Captain Michael.
Thank you for making our anniversary trip, one to remember.
It was a very quaint, small group which made it
exciting, fun, informative and was very professional.

Michael was an awesome tour guide. The boat trip was very fun. He shuttled us around to try and see a bunch of whales, which we did. We got to see them feeding and cruising and even saw some porpoises. I would highly recommend his whale tour. Next time I’m doing the adventure tour as well. I’ll see ya next summer!

Michael is a FANTASTIC guide for an adventure trip!! He goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a great experience, he is also great with kids. My two kiddos thought he was so cool and enjoyed the trip very much. He made sure we got to see the wildlife, taught us about the different areas and made sure to keep the adrenaline up. He didn't mind our bunches of questions and was overall a very kind person. We are planning to come back and do a whale watching tour when it's the right season!

We had the best time! Michael had some great stories and he brought us all around the harbor. We got to sit in the front which my eight year-old loved!! Such a good time and definitely worth it.

Great tour and friendly tour guide! We saw lots of wildlife including pelicans, sea lions, sea otters, starfish, etc. You can sit inside the covered portion of the boat or outside on the back so perfect for groups of not everyone likes to be in the sun. The guide was able to take the boat just a few feet from the cliffs/caves so you can get closer to the coastline than you can usually get in any other boat tours I have been on. Overall would recommend!

SLO Boat Tours, this was excellent and professional. Mike has extensive knowledge about the surrounding area especially about the islands and history of the area. The tour guide he provided was exciting and fun. Whenever you visit the Avila pier contact Mike for an exciting boat Tour!!!
