Well known as the diner where Reservoir Dogs was filmed this place has been on my list to try for quite some time. I stopped in for my first time this past weekend and was very impressed. I love a great diner so have been wanting to stop here for a long time and can confirm the food and the service is worth the visit. The food quality is honestly great and I would go here for the biscuits alone. They are some of the largest, most fluffy, and delicious biscuits I’ve ever had in LA. They have a large parking lot with free parking and service was very fast and friendly. It is slightly pricier than some other diners, but not by much and still worth the cost.

For my first time I ordered my favorite breakfast dish which is Eggs Benedict, and thought it was great. The hollandaise was homemade, the eggs were perfectly runny, and it just had some great flavors. As mentioned, I ordered a side Biscuit with gravy and the thing was absolutely huge. Not only was it giant, but it was also very fluffy and delicious and honestly was probably the best biscuit I have had this entire year.

P&L’s is a fantastic retro diner and a part of LA history. I would recommend to anyone searching for a great breakfast or lunch option, or any diner fan.

This has a special place in my heart. Not only was Resivore Dogs here, but my family and I have been coming here for years.. I haven't been here in 15 years cause I moved away.
The corned beef and hash with over easy eggs with a biscuit is my all-time favorite. I have probably tried at least 70% of the menu throughout my lifetime. Was there last Sunday, and I was taking back. Ordered the classic french Bonanza, country fried steak, and corned beef and hash. All served with their delicious home potatoes! Same great service and great Americana breakfast, Cafe!

In an area where people seem to love to be made to wait and stand in line it's nice to grab breakfast on a Sunday morning with no wait. Food is gargantuan and delicious. This is where the opening scene of Reservoir Dogs was filmed. Honest food and prices. Breakfast is awesome here

Breakfast was bacon and eggs with hash browns, toast and coffee, $28 before tip. Not a daily place for me at that price, but the service was friendly and excellent. The photo shows the giant portion of bacon that I will enjoy for the next two mornings. Cheaper breakfast combos before 9:00AM. Note added 12/2/24: my visit was on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and the meal did not include juice.

I’m just glad places like this still exist. The definition of unassuming, but serving solid food! It’s maybe a little pricier than you might expect it, but it tastes a lot better than nearby places that charge the same or more.

Overwhelmingly mediocre. I used to dine at this place between 2002 to 2007, and then I moved. I stopped by today and it has changed. The high prices highlight the foods' mediocrity. The service is friendly, the setting is humble and hasn't changed much (which isn't bad), the house salsa was rancid, and I just can't get over how I spent over 80 dollars (3 guests) for a basic breakfast I could have picked up at any other diner for much less. I can't see myself coming back at all.
