I drive by this place 5 days a week and finally decided to stop in. The service was good and the place is nice. My daughter ordered the coconut horchata and it was amazing!! I would get this every day if I could! I ordered the berry hibiscus thinking it would taste more like jamaica. It was still good though. I ordered the cubano and fries. It was very versatile good. The fries were sooo good! Fries are always good but these were spectacular! The cubano was really good, the pork had such good flavor. My daughter ordered dulce pancakes and sausage with sweet potato tots. Everything was great and looking forward to going again!

I ordered the backyard bbq plate and well in my opinion my expectations were not met. The flavor was fine, but it was nothing special. Their chili cheese fries tasted more like just refried beans and their garlic toast was not good. The sausage link was too fatty and the texture wasn’t my favorite. The smoked brisket had lots of grease and the tri-tip tasted fine. I believe they’re more known for breakfast and cocktails, but definitely not bbq food. The place is nice and the decoration is cute. My friend ordered an omelette that she enjoyed. I wouldn’t mind eating here again, but next time I’d get a breakfast plate with their sweet options.

My hubby and I went here after a Google search and we will for sure go back! Service was great, their menu is extensive and the everything looked yummy. We both enjoyed our dishes: church fried steak and carne asada. The portions are huge, so great for sharing!

Phenomenal food and service! Rarely does a restaurant impress me like this one! The cinnamon french toast was incredible. All the food we ordered was fresh, unique, and creative. Very high quality and our server was hospitable, friendly, and welcoming. Definitely coming back!

Our party of 6 arrived on a Sunday morning around 9:00AM and were greeted warmly, seated promptly, enjoyed a BEYOND delicious meal (totally worth the $130), had a very attentive waitress, and were out by 10:30. Half of our party are vegetarian, The District Cafe had plenty of options for them to choose from. Meat eaters enjoyed The Heavy, a Mexican Burrito, and a Santa Barbara Omelet all of which are highly recommended. All of the side potato options were chosen and a hit! DO NOT PASS UP EATING HERE!!!

I attended a Yelp event last night at The District Cafe. I've met Alex before since he is the owner of Bakersfield Pizza and Co and Camino Real, he is such an awesome guy. The food was delicious! The gravy was perfect and with their homemade buscuits and homemade country fried steak, perfect combination. I loved their fries, it reminded me of Rallys and Checkers fries but with their chili, it was better. Their hamburger and pull pork sandwhich was mouthwatering, I left wanting more!
They're open 7 days a week and from 7AM to 10AM you can buy one get one half off on omelets and burritos, and add all you can eat pancakes for $5. I can not wait to come again!!!!
