Just wow! The salad dressings are home made. I tried the orange vinaigrette and ranch. Both were delicious. The quiche was a nice light lunch to save room for dessert. And let me just tell you, the desserts were amazing and of course we paired them with some coffee. That blueberry cheesecake was phenomenal. The texture and flavor was unlike any I have had before and I will be thinking of it until I return. The chocolate mousse is a chocolate lovers dream. I’m a huge fan.

Update- we’ve been back three times to get the oatmeal cookies. They are crazy good. The Whoopie pie, apple cobbler was pretty good. I didn’t like the bread pudding as it was more of cheesecake and not like traditional bread pudding. Fried green tomatoes are delicious, but I don’t like the finishing glaze or blue cheese under it. The cheese was too funky. I would’ve preferred a different sauce and on the side instead of drizzled on or no sauce. The beef stroganoff was delicious and the noodles were unique and fresh tasting, but I would’ve liked to have more meat in it. The sliced beef option had an interesting sauce on it that didn’t match with the beef. Would’ve preferred and Au jus based sauce. Unique mashed potato dumpling and red cabbage were fine. Potato dumpling has bread in the center, I would’ve enjoy a good traditional mashed potatoes instead. I know this is Greek style-so maybe that’s how they eat their mashed potatoes… The pecan grouper looked delicious and some other options on their menu as we plan to come back and try the other options . Great service, great atmosphere, great prices, fast service, clean establishment, great desserts, authentic food.

I’m upset. Why didn’t this place show up in Google maps! I’m not sure how we stumbled on this place but I was looking for something sweet and this popped up so we had to try it. A REAL BAKERY-Wow. Nothing like the everyday style dessert shops in the area, where the stuff is too sweet And a bunch of foolishness really. Jonesboro is a food desert-have to drive out the city for something good…. My eyes were Going wild with all of the delicious looking desserts in that case. The lady before me ordered all of one I was wanting to try. Now I for sure have to come back lol. I ordered maybe five items even though I know I shouldn’t be eating this much. My first time, I always want to try a lot because it determines if I’ll come back. Great service. Extremely nice inside, I forgot where I was. Why was it empty, I asked myself. I saw a food menu that seemed to have everything good on it and I become more impressed. Been coming to the area two years and totally missed it. We could have been eating here. The lady even recommended other food places. Super nice.

Pecan pie- nice size/weight/look with good amount of filling/pecans. It’s better to break in half than bite through. Breaking it in half allows you to bite the middle. The breading has a homemade/original/with love kinda taste. After two bites I tasted chocolate and was thrown off. I’ll ask next time if there’s chocolate in the pecan pie. Wanted the Apple pie but lady in front of me cleared them all. I was hurt. lol

Carrot Cake-I don’t care for icing so I moved most of it off and just ate the bread. The bread was great, but of course with no icing it was a bit plain. I knew but had to try. The cool sandwich look is attractive.

German Chocolate Cake- Beautiful Cake. Delicious. I had some crunch in my cake but I thought it may be eggshell. This is def a fancy and tasty cake

Oatmeal Cookie-can you believe the oatmeal cookie was the best of the four. I don’t like oatmeal cookies that much but it looked great and there was only a couple left so you know it’s good when there’s only a few left lol. It was something truly amazing about that cookie. I’ve been daydreaming of it. Daydreaming like Aretha. Please don’t change anything. I’ll order all you have like that lady did me lol.

We plan to go back and try the food and I’ll update the review. For now, 6-Star Desserts-Great Job City Cafe & Bakery.

Tried the pecan grouper. I like the fruit on top idea that’s cool and simple. The crust had flavor and crunch, but I think it’s a little much crust for the size fish. I ate it all, but the thin fish could take a thinner coating. Red cabbage ok. Seasonal veggies were broccoli but I wish was greens or squash zucchini. Nothing special about rice.

They mow have an incredible breakfast menu at a very reasonable price. Now is Octoberfest! Their German food choices are always good! On Saturday nights, they usually have live, soft music, which is lovely. Not too loud! The old world atmosphere is very welcoming & the dessert counter is awesome with pastries, cakes and cookies.

Went for dinner on a Saturday night and found it not very busy. Seated immediately with seating options inside and outside. Nicely decorated with a semi-casual setting where you'll be comfortable in shorts or business dress. The Bourbon BBQ Ribs were tender with a tasty sweet sauce. They came with a tasty mac and cheese, though it was a little heavy on the cheese and light on the mac. Filet Mignon was ordered medium but cam out medium rare and had to be returned for additional cooking. The roasted potatoes were so hard I couldn't pierce one with a fork and had to send them back as well to be fully cooked. Considering how easy it is to roast a potatoe wedge, this was a major disappointment. Even once fully cooked, the wedges lacked flavor. Overall, a good atmosphere and I'd be interested to return to see if the Filet Mignon was a one time mistake.

A hidden gem for sure. Their menu is surprisingly deep, you can tell it was brilliantly Chef-inspired. The Bakery is divine coupled with wine and libations, this place rocks! Who knew? Right in downtown Fayetteville there's a place to have brunch, sip drinks or wine, relax on the fan-swept verandah, or maybe catch some outdoor live music? It is a shocker that this level place is just calling itself just a Cafe.
The Bakery rivals the best. May I say I am a bit of a baked goods aficionado. I took home a variety box of cookies, macarons, petit fours, and a huge white chocolate mousse cake slice.."divine"!
I want to recommend the Crab Cakes. They're everything they should be. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, heavy on the crab, good-sized portion too.
Our server was just the sweetheart we needed to make our stop perfect. Will come back to try their Prime Rib night and will come back for a second brunch. Whole heartedly giving it my Five Star High Five for (best all-around eaterie) (worth a drive) (pat on the back to the Chef and Baker) and a (you gotta come here)...
I'm giving it All Of That!!

Good afternoon
It took me several hours before I posted this review. I take posting a negative review very seriously. I have been here before. So I believe the poor service of acknowledgement when you first enter is habitual and standardized to ignore you when you first enter. Took approximately 8 minutes standing in the doorway before we were acknowledged for a table. Once seated to another 10 minutes to have a waitress come to the table. Her name was Alejandra. She turned out to be excellent. She is a keeper. I walked to the bakery to order some pastry's. Was ignored for over 10 minutes standing at the counter.. I saw the young lady just ignore me as if did not exist. I sat back down without a pastry. Bad service make a bad experience. I had to ask my server to get my pastry. Bad service makes for bad leadership and bad training. We will not be back. The food was excellent the server herself was excellent. The hostess and bakery staff were below standard. They need retraining or replaced.

Great customer service. Outside seating or indoor. Love the skillet breakfast, and fresh coffee. I love the atmosphere and that they recognize Sunday and are closed, and upon leaving Have a Blessed Day. The atmosphere is just peaceful and relaxing. It’s less then 5 minutes from my job this was my first time eating here. Great spot for pastry and a cup of coffee if you’re having a step away moment type of day at work for lunch. It will lift your Spirit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
