The staff is excellent, very nice, and super helpful. But the breakfast fell way short of expectations from any Marriott hotel. Everything looked and tasted like frozen food heated up. No typical waffle making facilities. Terrible breakfast overall. First room they gave us smelled like cigarette smoke. We changed rooms and the second room was nice but could be better. Sofa had holes and rips and office chair had food crumbs and was dirty. Needs serious improvement in room quality and cleaning.

Rooms were dirty. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. Both sinks had ants. Stains on all the counters, bed frames, tables. White liquid stains on the couch and by the bed. We tried to pull out the cushions from the sofa to use the sofa bed and found a cheeto, quarter and a pair of socks. A dirty towel was left under the sink. And a huge hairball on the carpet. |During the evenings, there is only one person is on staff. So when we needed more toilet paper or towels or a hair dryer, that one person at the lobby had to go get it. That’s not safe cause then anyone can enter at night. ||The only good thing about this hotel is the breakfast buffet is nice. A good variety of breakfast items and friendly staff. But goodness, please take care of your rooms and do a better inspection!

The staff are friendly, the breakfast is very much appreciated and it's included with the price of your room. I was put up here as a convince from my Apt. Owners when we had a plumbing flooded kitchen. I am very grateful

This is one Residence Inn I did not have to rewash the dishes before using them. Everything is squeaky clean. They are dog friendly. Staff is very accommodating! Very nice stay.

I love staying in hotels that offer kitchenettes and Marriott’s Residence Inn chain doesn’t disappoint. The Residence Inn in Oceanside, California has studio and one bedroom suites with nice kitchens that include a sink, lots of cabinets, a full size refrigerator and a dishwasher (!). The kitchens come equipped with dishes, pots and pans and essential utensils. All you need to bring is your food!||We stayed in a studio that had a nice-sized living area with hide a bed sofa, desk and dining table that is open to the king-sized bed and divided by a dresser with a large TV that swivels completely around. Very comfortable for the two of us. ||This hotel is in Oceanside near the San Luis Rey Mission. We were visiting family in this part of town so it was convenient. If you want to go to the beach it’s a 20 minute drive down Mission Blvd. ||This part of town has a lot of condos and apartments and corporate office complexes and caters to business travelers during the week. The area is quieter on weekends. Shopping centers are nearby with Target, etc. There are a lot of trees along the sidewalks near the hotel if you want to walk or go running. ||At the same time it’s not isolated because there’s a strip of great restaurants right across from the hotel that you can walk to in a couple of minutes. That’s an added bonus. Grandma’s is great for a full breakfast, Felix BBQ is really popular locally and the Junkyard Sports Bar stays open late; it’s a lively place. There’s a popular Pizza takeout, a very good Italian place and a simple Mexican place with a big menu (tip: You have to tell them you want refried beans on or with your meal. They’re not automatic!). ||Our room was in the quieter back side of the building where the rooms number _23 to _35 (so 123 on the first floor, 223 on second, etc.). That worked out well since there was a loud family reunion at the pool on the other side of the building. We didn’t hear anything. Something to keep in mind if you want quiet. ||There’s a breakfast room that offers hot and cold choices that you find at most chains. This most recent visit we were a bit disappointed as it was pretty limited. No waffles or pancakes like before (like we really need that, but still)||We’ve stayed at this property several times and always find it to be reliable, clean and well-maintained and recommend it as a reasonably priced choice in Oceanside.

Great Hotel. Ive been a marriot resident dozens of times ove the past 2 decades and this residence inn is great. Clean, quiet, spacious, and amazing breakfast and coffee free in the morning. More people should stay here. Its a few minutes from the pier but you dont have to deal with the parking and noise like staying near the pier. Great for families.
