The door closer on the door was damaged but still working. I informed the front desk of this who advised can move room or wait for maintenance but might be sometime. I said it’s no big deal and will be sleeping and leaving in the morning.

Upon checkout the following morning I was then charged a $300 fee for the damages.
Called the hotel that afternoon and was placed on hold immediately. Sat on hold for 15 minutes before terminating the call due to boarding a flight.

I have stayed here a few times and the service was always great. However this is the worst customer service I’ve experienced across all Marriott Bonvoy properties.

The staff was very professional and welcoming. I’m a basketball coach at St. Monica Prep. I went with a party of 17 and we needed several accommodations and they were awesome. We expect to stay there next year when we come back to the tournament.

Stayed for one night for my daughter's soccer tournament. Very comfortable hotel, clean rooms warm pool and friendly people. ||Nice central location to the parks we needed to go to during the tournament. Breakfast was also included and was tasty and plentiful.

Very average Marriott. Biggest complaints are the noise, you can hear every step on each side of you, and the vehicles outside. Get a top floor if you go as that may help, floor 3 was rough to fall asleep in.

Also, USB ports in the rooms. I can't remember the last modern hotel I've been to that didn't have a USB port to charge devices overnight. We ended plugging into the TV USB to at least not drain any more.

Thankfully it was a quick trip and I only had to stay a night.

We do a few events per year here, inviting our Cutco clients to come in for VIP shopping and service events, and due to the service we have always received here, we have become lifetime corporate clients of San Marcos Fairfield. Highly recommend for small corporate meetings or events.

We stayed only one night here passing thru to SD but everything was clean. Layed out nice and staff was helpful and kind. Balcony overlooked pool area and we enjoyed that. When we have a little more time. We will stay here a bit longer. Thank you. A+++ All the way

Was in town for a wedding. We got a block and the entire staff was friendly and accommodating. Super shoutout to Reina. She was accompanied and kind before I even showed up. I called a few times with questions and she answered with kindness and respect. She was incredible. From getting me checked in early to figuring out and correcting the room block rate. i’ve never had such a great experience with staff. There was also another very sweet front desk girl. Her name was unique and I cannot remember it unfortunately. But, she shared the exact professionalism and kindness as Reina.

We booked our wedding hotel block with Fairfield Inn & Suites and both Itzel and Enari were incredible to work with. They were so responsive and made the whole booking and managing of the reservation super easy. They even went above and beyond in helping me handle some last minute hiccups with our reservations! Our wedding suite was spacious and clean and the bed was so comfortable. We were so happy to have stayed with them!
