Typical diner that seems to cater to the locals. Lots of burgers and meats on the menu. My partner enjoyed the tri-tip with fries. The fries were surprisingly good. I had the tri-tip Cobb salad. I was disappointed in the ingredients. They used iceberg lettuce and not romaine, no avocado, no tomatoes, no green onions, no bacon bits. The tri-tip was medium rare as I requested. It was not that appealing.

While driving thru, we saw a sign for this restaurant. We stopped in for a bite to eat.
Upon entering, the restaurant was small/quaint with country decor.
We were greeted by staff almost immediately and chose to sit at the counter. We had been traveling so we were quite hungry.
There were three of us, two of us ordering the steak, which we were told was quite a popular item. We each had soup 🍲 with our meal. I had the clam chowder, which was terrible.
I'm not sure if it was even clam chowder since there was no clam, only potatoes, lots, and lots of potatoes. It tasted like dirty potatoes to describe it accurately. My friends ordered the soup of the day. Put it this way, no one finished the soup.
When the meals came out, we were beyond disappointed. We expected fresh real steaks to come out, but that is not what we received. Looked like a fast food steakette. It was beyond awful. Dry. Flavorless. We were so hungry, but no one could stomach the food. It was such a disappointment. I wish I had something positive to add about our meal as I'm not one to give low or bad reviews 😕
When we saw the word "roadhouse" in the name, we got our hopes up for fresh country diner with good grub. 😆 🤣 I even asked for chives for at least chives for the backed potato and received dry chives! They have baked potatoes but nothing to dress the potatoes 🥔 wth? Why bother?
One positive was the staff. There were only a few people in there, so there was plenty of staff around to help. We also were able to make it in time for staff to stand around complaining about a meeting. Awesome!
Sorry, we won't be back, nor can we recommend this establishment.

Fried zucchini appetizer tasted like they needed to clean the fryer oil. Called a steakhouse but they’re 12 ounce ribeye is not worth the money. Terrible cut of meat. Spent 30 minutes just trying to chew it. Half of it was left on the plate just could not swallow.. Vegetables tasted freezer burnt with too much old vegetable oil taste. Salad was good blue cheese dressing, decent. Twice baked potato tasted stale and freezer burn not fresh, old n nasty. Thin piece of dry carrot cake …After tip $81.00 for one person, definitely not worth the money. And the price not worth it. Atmosphere and customer service was wonderful. They need to fire that cook. And learn to prep some fresh food. I’m going to give it a one star, but if you’re looking for a good steakhouse this is not the place. . Perhaps better luck next time I Choice will be a hamburger 🍔 Don’t waste your money on the steak or sides. Pizza and burgers only! Sad but true! 🙁

The food, service, atmosphere was all above and beyond. I had the rib eye and garlic fries and it was amazing. We got there at 8:15, 45 minutes before closing and they were more than happy to seat us and feed us. Highly recommend this place. I know I'll do the 40 minute drive to go again!.

Food was old and disgusting. We ordered the beef french dip. The beef was clearly not fresh and burnt to a crisp. It had the most disgusting taste of old burnt meat. Against my better judgment, because I never send anything back to the kitchen for replacement, this time I did. I ordered a plain cheeseburger. That too was equally disgusting. The meat didn't taste fresh at all and was unbelievably greasy. The only thing that I was able to get down was a handful of French fries. We paid the bill and left a generous tip because the waitress was very attentive and it was clearly not her fault. I will never stop there again.
