What a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere takes me back to a fond memory of BBQ and feiends. We had hot sausage, ribs, brisket, chili, waffle fries, mac and cheese. It was some of the best BBQ I've had in Socal. I've had the best BBQ in Texas, so I know what I am talking about. It was around $35 a person.

I had the Cowboy Chili Omelet. Great flavor. Our party tasted each other's. Pastrami egg Benedict, deep South plate, and blueberry pancakes. All tasted great. Sweet tea was really good. Had the good ice. Service was good. Will be back.

If you ever go to this place, you will definitely leave very satisfied. They have home good cooking in the service. There is amazing. They make you feel like you’re in your mom‘s kitchen and you can feel the love in the food. The owners are amazing, they will sit and talk to you, and they are very humble.anything on a menu was great. You can’t go wrong. They have a new breakfast menu which is off the chain starting February 5, 2000 2024. That was definitely a game changer. Recommend this place.

Ruby Red’s BBQ is some damn good eatin’! We’ve been several times for dinner, but recently went to try their new (ish) breakfast menu.

It was extremely hard to decide what to order because at least 5 different meals looked absolutely amazing! We decided on the pastrami hash & eggs, the brisket eggs Benedict and a side of fried green tomatoes.

The brisket eggs Benedict was outstanding! My mouth is watering as I write this remembering how good it was. The meat was so tender and flavorful, the eggs were poached perfectly and the hollandaise was de-lish!

The fried green tomatoes were awesome too! Crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside (just like at the Whistle Stop Cafe, I imagine 😉). I really liked the tangy mustard-like sauce that came on the side.

I did like the pastrami hash in general, but I will admit it wasn’t what I was expecting or hoping for. It was more of a diced spicy sausage than pastrami. I was tempted to ask the server if perhaps there was a mistake with my order but 1) there was only one hash on the menu, 2) she seemed possibly too new to know if that was normally how it came and 3) she was the only server for the entire restaurant on a busy holiday morning for the majority of our time there.

Which brings me to my only complaint with this restaurant: the service. Employees always seem very friendly, but often it feels like they’re also under-staffed.

Lastly, I love the ambiance of the place. They were able to expand and a very cool “saloon” type space. There’s a bar at the back of the area, though I’m not sure if it’s fully functional yet. But even to sit and eat in there is fun.

Overall, this place is a great local spot for family friendly bbq. I definitely recommend it. Oh, and don’t forget to visit the big bull at the back of the patio!! 🐂

Went out with friends, first time here and the BBQ was awesome as well as any of the sides. Our waitress Amanda was the best. Sat at the little bar they have and totally took care of us. Then was able to sit in here area. Fun and very engaging. We will be back.

We love BBQ Brisket and just heard about Ruby Red's BBQ. Our first time giving them a try was on July 2nd. We ordered The Platter for 2. It was comprised of brisket, pulled pork, mild sausage and chicken breast. The brisket was so moist and tender, so delicious 😋 The pulled pork was tasty, but more chopped meat than pulled. The Italian style sausage and chicken breast were a little dry, but good flavor. We ordered the Louisiana beignets with lemon Curd dipping sauce for dessert. I'm not sure, but aren't beignets supposed to be light and fluffy?

We gave them a second try on Sunday because we really enjoyed their brisket. However, today, we ordered a pound of brisket, and sadly, it was dry. We also ordered the Brisket Waffle fries which were really good. The brisket on the fries must be from the cap of the brisket because it had a different texture and flavor altogether.

I'm sure we'll go back, but with consistency being an issue, leaves us a little leary of giving them another try.
