Holy wow. I don’t if we just picked all the right dishes or what. The pizza was fantastic as was the truffle Mac. But the Brussels sprouts - not pictured because quickly devoured - were the highlight. They pack some heat though so be aware. Will come back next time in town. Took our candy bar dessert to go to eat later and it was beyond delicious.

This restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The service is very good. It makes a nice bar alternative to the too early closing The Lodge bar.

The food was a bit disappointing, but at least it is expensive. We ordered the crab & endive Caesar salad 3/5, LIBERTY FARM DUCK WINGS 4/5, SEARED KING SALMON 4/5, and Ahi Tuna special 3.5/5. The dessert THE WIT & WISDOM CHOCOLATE BAR 5/5.

Nice wines and craft cocktails. However, pricey.

Duck wings were awesome and highly recommend.
Some prices seemed a bit excessively priced. ($21 for a starter salad,)
I thought the pizza was average; maybe the sauce was the element that seemed most lacking.
Sea Bass entree was excellent and highly recommend.
The "blistered" snap peas weren't blistered, and drowned in sauce and just seemed soggy.
Rice pudding dessert seemed under-flavored and too soupy (for my taste at least).
Service was excellent.
Good food but not sure this was great value given pricing.

Do yourself a favor, come here! Get there early for happy hour and get the duck fat fries and the duck Thai wings, holy hell I am still thinking about the flavors and textures. Incredibly thoughtful and special. Also the $10 glass of wine is a great deal. Jaqueline was amazing! Such a knowledgeable and helpful server. All of her recommendations were on point and we had a beautiful meal of the truffle tagliatelle, steak and broccolini, along with the basque cheesecake for dessert. I will be dreaming of that dessert for a lifetime. She also recommended some amazing cheese and wine spots in the area too that I can’t wait to try. All in all, such a great meal and we celebrated my sister’s bday and they really made her feel special with a hand written note. Very classy and also so high quality.

Food, staff, & ambience were great. Got seated at the bar (walked up/no res.). Ordered the Tavern Tasting menu. Delicious! Got to watch chef make pizzas in front of us. Wish we had a bigger stomach and ordered a pizza also... Next time 🙂

My husband and I are in Sonoma a few times a year. We have been to almost every great restaurant in the nearby area. We wanted to try Wit and Wisdom for a while but something was always holding us back.

We decided to go there and sit at the bar before doing a full dinner because we heard they had great pizza. The bartender was very nice but told us they could not make the pizza until 5pm (we got there around 3:40pm) we ordered a few drinks and some snacks to wait the pizza out. The duck wings were solid.

At about 4:20pm we saw the chef making some pizzas and we asked about it. The server said they were for the chef to test out. A few minutes later they were served to the table right behind us that had just sat down. The excuse was that the table was en route to the airport. They also screwed up our check. We felt that our business was not at all valued. It ruined our evening and we will not be back.

A great dining experience. Started off with the grilled octopus and duck wings, both excellent.

For the main course we had the salmon and ahi tuna. Again beautiful prepared and served.

We opted to stay with water as our drink as the wine seemed to be a bit pricey for us.
