Definitely a spot for coffee, but as for the food, I have to be honest—I grabbed a sandwich, and it was probably the saddest one I’ve ever had. I’ve had much better sandwiches in Orlando. The pastries and coffee are decent, but the sandwich? I asked for no mustard, and once it was gone, I understood why they hesitated. Without the mustard, there’s basically nothing left—just about 3 ounces of meat and a super thin slice of ham.

This neighborhood institution has re-opened with the favorite menu items and some creative additions. I had the turkey breakfast sandwich, guava pastry, hibiscus tea and my son had the day’s donut (Boston cream) and fresh juice. Every thing was soooo good! Cortadito was on point (and I live in Melbourne, so the coffee standard is high!). If I lived in LA I would come here every day.

What a place, we saw this cafe and wanted to try out the food. When we got there is when I actually noticed it was a Cuban inspired cafe. The coffee gave it away. My partner and I got to try the papa rellena(stuffed potato), and it was really tasty. Then we both went with a sandwich. It was a really big portion, so I had to take my leftovers home. They have seats inside and some tables outside.

You simply can’t call this a Cuban cafe anymore. A cortadito is not the same as a cortado. I’m not sure they have any authentic Cubans behind this anymore because they sure as hell would not put a picture of Che Guevara on the wall. As a child of a Cuban refugee, that really sucked to see. I wish they would put more of an effort in making this a truly Cuban cafe because we really need one in LA and this place is so historic.

Pretty darn delicious food. I tried the breakfast sandwich with salsa & avocado and the chilaquiles breakfast burrito; sandwich had the most delicious thick bacon and was very well put together and burrito was so good and had such a good spice kick. Would love to come back for lunch food. Me and my pals had to change our order from dine-in to to-go and staff had no problem with it and were very nice and helpful. Great vibe; I didn’t understand some of the framed artwork but I dig it.

Had cuban sandwich which was better than the ones I had in Orlando. Cuban coffee was good too, Friendly customer service. Ambiance was relaxed. Overall a great place for a relaxed coffee and baked goodies or a fast bite.

Best pastries I’ve ever had in my life. I got the guava cheese crossiant and the fig orange marmalade sweet cheese… all brushed with a sugary butter glaze. Couldn’t even take a photo before trying several bites!! Better than anything I’ve had in Europe.

I will always come back when I’m in the area 🥰

First of, coffee and the food are amazing, so is the service. Unfortunately there is just no way to justify almost 17$ for Cubano sandwich of that size. Severely overpriced although it’s good.
