We originally booked a room in Hampton Inn, but we got upgraded to Homewood Suites. We took our son to Sesame Place San Diego that morning and when we got to the hotel my son was asleep, our room was still not ready and we had to wait for about 20 mins but it was totally fine and understandable. We were aware that it was a pet-friendly hotel but one thing we didn’t like in our stay was the room smells terrible especially the sofa, it smells like a dog’s urine. It was awful and disgusting. We called the front desk and they had someone come up to our room and just sprayed it with Lysol. We went outside for a bit then when we got back to our room, it only worsened the smell of the room. We were sad because everything was so great, we loved our room, all the staff were amazing and wonderful. The room was clean, it was just the smell of it we didn’t like. It kinda ruined our night to be honest. I hope you deep clean the bed and the sofa because there were people that are allergic and sensitive.

Worse service than a motel or Super 8 by far!
I had a standard Privacy Door placard given by the hotel that i put on the front of the door so i could sleep during the day, since i was working nights. the house keeper knocked on my door for a full minute bringing me out of my sleep, THEN she opens the door hard and was only prevented entry by the door stopper! Agian, the handle she pulled had the hotel snooze placard on the handle! Once i got up to see what could be such an emergency wake me up by such urgency and opened the door, there was no one there, but there was a cleaning cart. After asking "Hello" several times, i walked down the hallway to find her hiding near the elevators where there are no rooms to clean. once i spotted her she babbled in spanish about being on her phone. But if it was an honest mistake how does it go on for a minute? and if she didn't know what she was doing was wrong, why did she ditch her cart to hide all the way down the hall around the courner and lastly how does she not see the privacy placard when she had to PHYSICALLY MAKE CONTACT WITH IT TO OPEN THE DOOR ITSELF?
Again, a motel or Super 8 can figure out these standard hotel procedures (such as a door privacy placard), so save your money and go somewhere else.

Loved our stay. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Kudos to Michelle at the front desk and Mark from housekeeping. My only complaint will be the smell of the hotel hallways specially on the first floor smells like garbage/wet carpet. Other than that great hotel

Irvan at the front desk had exceptional customer service skills and was very helpful when booking my room. I also enjoyed the studios because they were spacious, two TVs and I enjoyed having a full kitchen. Also there was free breakfast and free parking which is really great.

This locations staff were extremely courteous, professional and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable! The hotels complimentary breakfast was delicious and they had a variety of options for those with dietary restrictions. Very welcoming lobby and clean hotel rooms from the towels, bedding, the showers, etc. The only thing I noticed were some towels had minute debris on it. It was 2 hand towels only, not a big deal! I would recommend staying here if you have the opportunity 😊 Thank you to the staff!

The hotel staff are amazing, friendly, accommodating, respectful, and so much more.
The room was excellent... Only weird part was the carpet was a bit dingy/old. Beyond that it was nice and spacious.
The hotel game room oddly had to be reserved but it was small room so makes sense
If you need a bell-dolly for your luggage they're is only 3 in the entire hotel. Why? No idea but makes no sense for a hotel of that size.
Self serve Breakfast is great.
Bbq area is great
Location is fantastic

This facility appears fairly new. It has beautiful decor and well kept amenities (gym, pool, patio, laundry room.) The breakfast is delicious and changes daily. With that being said, If you are planning on staying here long term and you have the option between this place and a place that can meet your reasonable needs, pick the other option. This facility is not suitable for people who work unconventional hours. It is very difficult to get help outside of regular business hours all though hotels generally offer 24 hour services. The staff here seem to be “NO” motivated. (Sometimes I feel like I can hear the nnnnnn before I even finish my question.) My biggest difficulty I faced during my stay was the lack of communication between the housekeeping team and the front desk. There seems to be no communication at all which makes scheduling cleanings very difficult. When the cleanings are completed they are done terribly, not at the times requested and with little care. This is a fine facility if you are willing to clean the room yourself and meet your own traveling needs (getting directions, using the printer, getting change for laundry, leaving mail at the front desk to be picked up in the morning). If you have an expectation that you are paying for services in addition to your room, or if you are looking for staff to go the extra mile to insure you have a comfortable and pleasant experience you will not receive that here.
