I absolutely cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It’s clean and in a great and convenient location. I had a maintenance issue in my room that was resolved immediately. The staff! These folks are truly the kindest people I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with at a hotel in quite some time. Usually I stay at another chain, but this stay has made me a loyal Marriott customer. 10/10 would recommend and stay again!

Our stay at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. Live has been nothing short of exceptional, and we even decided to extend our visit! As a Titanium Elite guest, I was thrilled to receive a suite upgrade, which added an extra layer of luxury to our stay. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and provided stunning views of the city.

The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of L.A. Live, with easy access to fantastic restaurants, entertainment venues, and attractions like the Staples Center and Grammy Museum. It’s a perfect hub for exploring Los Angeles.

Amenities at this hotel are top-notch. The Executive Lounge access was a highlight, offering a variety of delicious options throughout the day in a quiet and refined atmosphere. The gym exceeded my expectations—it’s well-equipped and even features Tonal, which is perfect for anyone looking to maintain their fitness routine. After a long day, the pool and jacuzzi are the perfect spots to unwind and relax.

This hotel’s location is perfect, right by LA Live, the arena, and tons of great restaurants. I was there for a convention, and it was super easy to navigate around. The food was excellent, and the large area surrounding the bar made it a great spot to relax. The pool was very nice, though I do wish the pool bar had a bit quicker service. Overall, a great experience!

This is a conference hotel and very noisy. The room was missing things (no coffee with coffee maker) and it was hard to get snacks in the hotel (no vending or kiosk). Breakfast was super and the service at breakfast was great. The service at check in was disappointing. They were disinterested. No eye contact or smile. Just processing a transaction.

I had a fantastic stay in this expansive hotel. Everything was really guest-center ed and the staff was always polite, smiling, helpful and incredibly nice to interact with. My room was really bright and spacious.
I enjoyed the pool almost everyday, and also some of the bar options. Very central, right next to the crypto arena, close to public transport to Santa Monica.

Enjoyed my stay here while attending a conference at the LA convention centre. Location right by LA Live is ideal for the arena and plenty of bars and restaurants. All very safe in that area too. Close to the downtown sights too. Gym is well equipped. Large lobby - smells great! Room was spacious too

I stayed here recently while attending a conference at the nearby LA convention center. Check in was easy via the mobile app. Staff was hospitable, although there was absolutely no attempt to offer me my entitled ambassador elite upgrade. ||Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The style was a basic business decor. The furnishings, although comfortable, were starting to show some wear and tear, particularly the couch. There is a small fridge and coffee maker in room with tea/ coffee that was replenished by housekeeping daily. Housekeeping overall was very good.||I have a feather allergy, and they have a hypoallergenic floor, which I find great. That usually makes it easier to quickly get a feather free or hypoallergenic room if you arrive early (and also for upgrades when actually offered or available) because housekeeping already has a floor of hypoallergenic rooms at the ready.||Room service was ok. The food arrived quickly and quality was good. Taste was hit or miss though. ||Location is great if you are going to the convention center or to a game. They have a nice Illy coffee bar, but there is also a Starbucks right outside the back entrance. Lots of nice restaurants are within walking distance as well.||I did not use the spa on this occasion, but I have in the past and found it very welcoming. Hopefully that is still the case! The spa and gym services are shared with the Ritz, which is basically connected to the JW. I did not find any benefit to paying more for the Ritz in the past. It’s basically the same as the JW. ||The JW Marriott has been a go to for me whenever attending a conference at the LA convention center because it is close by, comfortable, and has full scale amenities. It likely will continue to be my first choice, although there are several new Marriott hotels in the area that are fresh, modern, and even closer to the convention center. The rooms and furniture at the JW will need a refresh soon in order to keep up with these newer attractive offerings.

The JW Marriott at LA Live is a nice property with a convenient location. The lobby was especially beautiful and festive with its holiday decorations, which added a great touch to the atmosphere.

The staff were friendly, but the service didn’t really stand out as exceptional. Our room was adequate but not spotless—there were noticeable stains on the duvet and a pillow, which was disappointing. It was also a bit of a hassle to get extra towels or a rollaway bed, which took away from the overall experience.

Despite these issues, it was a good stay overall, but there’s definitely room for improvement in both service and attention to detail.
