Quite literally one of the worst hotels I've stayed at and I travel about 20x per year.

Pros
1. The food I ordered from the lobby bar was good.
2. Valet was attentive, responsive.
3. A few quiet areas to have a private business call.
4. Housekeeping kept the room clean every other day.

1. Gross carpet, scratches and dents/paint missing on walls. The lobby is nice but then you get into the hallways and other areas of the building and it's completely disgusting.
2. Elevator was out of order for about a day. Which typically wouldn't be a problem, but no one said anything to us, then no one told us where the stairs were (you had to go outside to get to one set of stairs). Then after it was "fixed", the wood door to the elevator wouldn't stay open and still had the 'out of order' sign on it. But that was only on the first floor. So on the 3rd floor it looked like it was working fine. When I asked the front desk about whether it was working or not, they had no clue, and didn't really know what was going on. Getting into a broken elevator or one that the hotel staff didn't know the status on would have been a really big problem for us, and them.
3. Valet is $35/overnight ($$!) and quite literally a few steps away from normal parking.

I've stayed at numerous hotels, numerous Hyatts even, but there is something unique about this staff. Every single person I encountered was super friendly and cheerful-from the housekeeping staff we would see in the hallway, the front desk, and even the Railyard breakfast crew. All amazing. Special shout outs to Christy and her daughter who took care of my breakfast dietary needs all week in the Railyard, Noel in the kitchen who taught me how he does his oatmeal fig compote, and to Vladmir who stopped and spent a few minutes with me so I could brag on his crew. The hotel room was clean but showing a little wear. The location is amazing..check out LoCocos, Stark's and Chevy's all within walking distance. The gym at the hotel was also fantastic and more equipment than i expected, but missing a couple of dumbells. Was a great vacation overall. Thanks!

Staying at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Rosa was an absolutely wonderful experience, one of the best of my life. The hotel is located close to downtown, so we could easily walk to lots of great restaurants and shops in just a few minutes. It made our vacation easy and relaxing. The hotel itself was absolutely lovely. The exterior and interior were incredibly beautiful and felt luxurious. Our rooms were clean and spotless, and the hotel’s service was exceptional. The hotel offered a gym which was really nice and came in handy, as well as a beautiful outdoor pool and hot tub. The pool was in a beautiful setting and had very comfortable seating, it was wonderful to lounge in such a nice environment. The hotel’s restaurant was excellent—the food and drinks were delicious and it felt like fine dining. Even the breakfast buffet felt upscale and was delicious—better than any breakfast buffet at other hotels I’ve been to. We were treated excellently at the Hyatt Regency and I felt very taken care of. I’ve recommended the hotel to all of my friends and family who are interested in visiting wine country. If you decide to stay here, I promise you won’t regret it.

I had an absolutely awful experience at the Hyatt Regency Sonoma. From check-in to check-out, the service, amenities, and room quality were disappointing.

We called a week before check-in requesting a fireplace room and were told to call closer to our stay. On the day of, just hours before arrival, we were informed we’d receive a free suite upgrade. However, when we arrived, we were given a standard room, and our fireplace request wasn’t even noted. The front desk was unhelpful and simply told us to take up any complaints with Hyatt customer service.

The issues didn’t stop there. The fireplace in our room never worked the first night, despite multiple calls. The second night, we called ahead to request it be turned on by 6:30 PM. When we arrived back at the hotel, it was still off. After more complaints, an engineer finally came, only to discover the propane tank was empty. This should have been checked before guests arrived.

The pool was dirty and unusable, and the hot tub was cold with non-working jets. When we informed staff, they sent an engineer who told us the pool area was closing soon, so we couldn’t even enjoy it.

As for the room itself—absolutely terrible. The pillows were rock hard, and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. We barely slept the first night and had to use our own clothes as pillows the second night just to get some rest. When booking a hotel, you expect a relaxing stay—this felt like a punishment.

To top it all off, I was charged $9.95 for internet despite being a premium Hyatt rewards member. The front desk never mentioned this charge, and I only saw it when I got my emailed bill after checkout.

This hotel is an absolute disaster—poor customer service, uncomfortable rooms, and broken amenities. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

We enjoyed our stay at Hyatt, room was nice and clean. We were disappointed that we booked the resort-view and had upgraded the room (to have "spa features"), only to have the room facing the shopping center and the spa features were two showerheads (only one worked at a time). We had thought we were booking a soak in tub with the room. We were disappointed with that, but the room was still nice and clean and everyone we interacted with were wonderful and attentive. Bed was comfortable and housekeeping came daily. It was nice to have the bar and the restaurant downstairs after a long day of traveling too and of course the convenience of walking to downtown as well as the mall nearby.

Great location. Great service. New management could use some work but the everyday staff are excellent and very accommodating. Jasmine at the front desk hooked me up! I had a small issue and she took care of it so patiently and professionally. I will come back because of people like her being so welcoming.

The location was good, decent property but we didn't receive housekeeping in the three days we were there which was disappointing. We had to ask for someone to come fix the shower because it wasn't draining. The lobby was beautiful and the firepit was great to sit around at and enjoy a glass of wine.

The staff was very helpful. The hotel is very conveniently located near the freeway. The pool, hot tub, and gym were all beneficial. The breakfast was delicious! The rooms are clean and we had a very good nights sleep. We will be back whenever we are visiting the Casino.
