Great for all the family. Three hour tour that's well worth it. Great boat ride, great staff. The whole crew for today's March 21 voyage at 10am was fantastic, very helpful and very friendly. A lot of knowledge of marine life and just great all female crew were remarkable. I definitely recommend it. I will personally take my wife and three daughters again.

Amazing experience with Capt. Dave's & their crew!! We had a beautiful and special day. They were accommodating and kind as well as knowledgeable. We saw so many dolphins(a pod of around 500!!!) and grey whales! Highly recommend the private boat experience. Worth the only slightly higher price from the group boat.

Our family of 20 was looking for a boat service that would assist us in the process of scattering our loved ones ashes in the ocean. After much research, we chose Capt. Dave’s, and it was 100% the right decision. From easy booking to assisting with the correct permits and being extra accommodating, we are so pleased with our experience.

Captain Chuck and June were absolutely amazing and helpful. They were respectful and kind from start to finish, and really made our large group feel comfortable, safe, and thought of during a sensitive moment. We even had the privilege of spotting dolphins after we scattered the ashes, and the captain took time to follow their swim pattern so we could all have a precious moment with the wildlife. We absolutely recommend this wonderful company, and thank everyone at Capt. Dave’s again for such a beautiful morning during an emotional time for our family.

Incredible experience! This was my second whale watching adventure with Capt Dave’s and we saw whales this time!! I can’t even express how magical of a moment it was getting to see them lift their heads out of the water and then splash their tales as they dove down into the deep. I’m emotional just thinking about it. Already booking the next one! Also- the brownie at the end of the tour is ALWAYS a highlight 👌🏼

We had an incredible experience on Captain Dave’s Dolphin and Whale-watching zodiac tour! Although heavy fog kept us from spotting whales, we were lucky to see pods of dolphins, which made the trip absolutely unforgettable. Impressively, ours was the only boat out that morning to see any wildlife, thanks to the crew’s expertise and determination. They truly went above and beyond to make our adventure memorable. We highly recommend this excursion to anyone looking for a fun and unique way to enjoy a trip to California!

The captain and crew were friendly and attentive. I enjoyed their knowledge of the wildlife and the captain went out of his way to show us a good time. We saw a baby shark, a sea lion, a pod of dolphins and 6 gray whales!

I have been on about 4 whale watching trips with capt. Dave’s. I have tried others, but I find that I usually get lucky and find a lot of dolphins and 3/4 times I was lucky to see whales. The staff is super friendly and truly care about our ocean. They will stop to pick up balloons on the water to help protect the sea life. I will always recommend them. This last time we tried the zodiac trip and love that we got to see gray whales during the festival of whales this year. Such a great experience every time we go out with them.

Best boat AND crew in SoCal! I took my grandkids out on a whale watch trip and my 6 year old granddaughter didn't fare well being her first time on the ocean even though the swells were gentle. With everything that the crew were responsible for to make a good trip for everyone, every member of that crew stopped by with an encouraging word. Hannah even made up a little game with ping pong balls and cups and sat down on the floor to play.
On trips like these, the boat being worthy, it's the crew that makes or breaks the day. I'm so impressed with this one my family is going to do a charter. THANKS!
