Really awful experience. Got there at night after a long night of driving. Booked a double room and was able to use the app to log in. As soon as we got in the room we could hear the ac, as if it had marbles in it. Went downstairs. The guy at the front desk gave me another room but also kind of made me feel like I was asking a lot and like that is just how AC sounds. Second room. same thing, super loud, plus it had a funky smell. went back downstairs to ask for another room. Was told there were none and so he meant to give me room #1 again, but alas he gave us a different room #3 which finally had an acceptable ac unit. In spite of this I had awful night sleep the 2 nights I was there. The bed was bumpy and the pillows were flat and awesome. My back hurt after the two nights. Plus this was the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had - somehow even the oatmeal was too salty. disgusting.

It was quick overnight stay, but probably glad it was. This hotel is a bit dated compared to other Hampton’s I have been to. The bathtub was a bit run down and the room had a strange smell. The staff was friendly, so I have to give credit for that and check in was easy with the app.

This is the first time staying at Hampton Inn Irvine East/ Lake Forest in Foothill Ranch. The location is convienient near shopping and restaurants. Close by are Walmart, Target, Ralphs, CVS, Islands, In-in-out Burger, Outback Steakhouse, Red Robin, Chuck E. Cheese, Del Taco, Movie Theaters and more. The hotel is approximately 89 rooms, so it gives a cozy, boutique feel. This is a well run Hampton Inn. Evie, Miji, Veronika, and Karoline give a warm welcome at the front Desk. Daniel and Juana do a great job in the restaurant. Heather, Marina and Edwina in housekeeping keep the rooms clean and well supplied. I will definitely stay at this hotel again. If you want to come to a low density suburban destination to chill and relax, this is the place. I recommend a car to get a round. You can get your Hilton Honors Points. I am a Hilton Diamond member and the staff recognized my member tier, with a free snack and free bottled water.

Good location but,

- Our room card did not work multiple nights. Had to get cards switched out far too many times because they wouldn't work.

- the door would not fully close unless we gave it an extra push. Surprised this hasn't been fixed.

- one night there wasn't warm water in the shower, for whatever reason the water stayed luke warm regardless of how hot I tried to make the shower.

I understand this is a budget friendly hotel but there were too many inconveniences.

Staff members were great.
Free breakfast was good.
Overall quiet rooms.
Comfortable mattress and bedding.
Peaceful hallways.
Seems like there is some lack of oversight from head of housekeeping.

Very nice hotel and clean for living. Front desk Rick has excellent service and really take care our stay . We are really glad to living here . Breakfast has a lot of choices.Overall meets the Hilton hotel quality. Thank you very much !

Positive: The Am shift Front desk was excellent. Sunday and Monday Am person. He helped us find a resturant to eat at time of arrival and an area in the city of Orange to visit that was Perfect! Negative: The breakfast needs an upgrade. Other 2 star hotels had a better meal and looked happy at their job.

Poor customer service.
Zero management communication.
Was barely able to check in due to 4 deputy vehicles blocking entryway.
2 hours in fire alarm went off, front desk had zero idea what happen.
Food was marginal.
Been three days still waiting for a manager to follow up on any of the above issues.
Clearly not holding my breathe.
Trust me there are better places in the area.
Including across the parking lot.
