Dreamy beds, high quality linens, fluffy robes——rooms that feel like a sanctuary you never want to leave. The rooms are well appointed with every detail just right!! The reading lights in the head board, the chairs and side table by the window—-all important creature comforts. Having recently spent time at the Bristol in Paris, if you know that hotel, you will feel a similar vibe. This is high praise!!||The Park Bistro is delightful, cozy and clubby. The food and service are excellent. The ONLY fly in the ointment being that they offer OCTOPUS on the menu. Seeing this highly intelligent and playful creature on the menu was a dagger through my heart and dampened my delight with an otherwise perfect dinner. I hope the hotel will reconsider this menu selection.

I spend a week out of every month in the East Bay and I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. ||Everyone who works here really understands customer service, from the always friendly folks at the front desk to the housekeeping staff who keep the pool area pristine to the staff at the spa. ||Everyone you'll meet is super-caring and super-competent, and happy to go out of their way to make sure that your needs are met. ||And the rooms are newly renovated! The room I usually stay in got a top-to-bottom reboot and it's both super-functional and gorgeous. The decor is elegant and ridiculously comfortable. Just relaxing in the room is a treat. ||Color scheme and decor are stunning and up-to-the-minute. ||Rooms and bathrooms are large and light and have every amenity. ||Room has scads of drawer space, a comfy chair for reading, a good desk for working, a super comfortable bed and a nice big flat screen TV. ||And best of all -- a fireplace with a real fire that springs to life when you flip a switch!||I love the fact that the room has way more light than you usually get in a hotel room -- including the natural light that comes in from the large windows, a large overhead light, several lamps, a dedicated desk light, reading lights tucked into the headboard for reading in bed and a dedicated light for the area where you make your coffee in the morning. |||The rooms are also super insulated and quiet, which I appreciate. (And the drapes do a great job of blocking out the light and noise at night.) ||And of course, there's the beautiful outdoor pool -- large, super clean and heated to 85 degrees year round. ||I've stayed in a lot of East Bay hotels over the years. But the LPH is the absolute best. Once I stayed here I never even considered staying anywhere else.

Beautiful building, updated rooms, and wonderful wonderful staff. The hotel is located walking distance to local eateries and wine bars, making it easy if you want to leave the leave the hotel to explore or for a walk. It’s located on major road that’s walkable, safe, and also surprisingly walked by local residents including kids on their bikes after school. I had no issues with noise. Their restaurant offers delicious options too.

Best place to stay around Orinda, Moraga and Walnut Creek. Rooms are quiet, restaurant is fantastic and staff friendliness are highlights along with a nice pool, and well appointed Ted guy with a peloton bike.|The check-in staff are apt to remember your name. Rooms are a little dated but older travellers will probably like that. Not much to walk to aside from longish walk into wonderful Lafayette village.

It was a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed and room were clean and comfortable, and the restaurant food was delicious. I was working in the area and had to work late into the evening, it was nice top come back to a comfortable bed. We ate there three times throughout our 3 days stay.

The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, we were given a free room upgrade, the room was spacious and clean and comfortable, and the price was very reasonable for the value. The property is conveniently located, the lobby was pretty, and it had a quite and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Great stay (11 days) as usual. What really stands out for us in the helpfulness and friendliness of the entire hotel employees, from the housekeepers to the front desk to the restaurant staff to the hotel managers. The spa tratment was relaxing and a welcome respite from the holiday stress period. Service and food in the Bistro was excellent

The restaurant is excellent. The resort was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The Suite was okay. One TV was not working and could not be fixed. TV channel selection is horrible. A few other things in our room and resort wide needed repair. Not a good value for what we paid this time; it was our fourth stay and might be our last. I have written the resort and am hoping they make things right by us. I will update the review after hearing from them...I hope!
