The beds are to die for! All the menus for food are excellent! The staff is very friendly and attentive. One of the best parts is waking up and doing brunch in their patio! Plenty of shade cover and really nice ambiance. A great weekend trip with a partner or friend. Also the restaurant is great place to take friends for dinner on a week night!

I had a great stay at Palihotel! The staff were incredibly polite and accommodating, making the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel has a great atmosphere and attention to detail. My only feedback is that the walls seem quite thin—I could hear conversations from adjacent rooms. Overall, a wonderful stay, and I’d definitely consider returning!

Lovely little hotel with lots of character and charm. We had a king room at the very back corner on the top floor and found it very quiet. Comfortable beds, good air-conditioning, amazing Diptyque toiletries, and spotlessly clean. Staff were extremely kind in letting us have an extra late check-out before our 16-hour flight home. The location is also fantastic, with lots of trendy restaurants, bars, coffee shops, cinema and parks nearby. We enjoyed the local weekend craft markets and all the people and dog watching. Also close to Sony Studios and Culver City Studios if you want to check them out. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Palihotel team!

This is the only hotel I've stayed in my life that locks the thermostat. My room was never comfortable and you need to call the front desk to adjust the temp. The hallways smell musty and damp. The building has serious temperature control issues in general.

Some rooms overlook a busy restaurant, literally you can look out the window in your bathroom and watch people drink at a bar. These rooms also SOUND like a busy restaurant since you can hear everything going on. The only window covering was some wooden slats which let in tons of light, conveniently coming from the white Christmas lights strung on the ceiling of the bar and never turned off.

The rooms are dominated by the king bed and there is no where to set your suit case or really anything. If you are in the room you are sitting/laying on the bed because there is no room for anything else.

The only thing this place has going for it is the location. Terrible, uncomfortable rooms all around.

After spending a night here, a week later, I had a skin problem like 5-6 pimples on my leg. They were large, pearly pimples that were causing numbness on my legs. But I want to point out that these were not any acne kind of pimples for sure. I was worried so I went to the doctor and was told that this was a virus that spread from person to person through contact with surfaces such as sheets, blankets or towels. Finally I had a medical operation. I can say it is 99% from here. That week this hotel was the only place that I went. Please be more careful about cleaning.

Keep track of your charges if you choose to stay here. I was booked into this hotel for work by someone who doesn't know the area. From pictures, the restaurant looks adorable, but I didn't get a chance to go to the restaurant, so this is not a reflection of the restaurant. Myself and my colleague were booked in separate rooms and weren't able to check in until about midnight, due to travel. When we arrived, the security guard was sleeping in a booth in the restaurant, which is fine, late shifts are hard. We had to fill out pieces of paper with all of our details and the security guard gave us our keys. Both of us were surprised by our rooms. We were on the first floor, so trying to give benefit of the doubt, maybe other floors are better, but both of our rooms smelled of mildew and were disgusting. My bed was damp and was being blasted by the mildewy AC that is central and not controlled per room. I've stayed in hostels that were cleaner. It was fine because we had to be up and out by 8, so we sucked it up, went to sleep, and left at 8 in the morning. I drank a water from the 'minibar', which was a random basket that isn't even refrigerated, so obviously not weight monitored. The water was $13, but was a huge water that I didn’t even come close to finishing, so can’t complain about that. This started a whole slew of charges on my credit card, however. I was charged for multiple items from the 'minibar' that I didn't eat and even a $67 breakfast from 4 days after I had already checked out. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this hotel is shady and should be avoided. If you stay here, make sure to keep track of your credit card and bill. Apparently the restaurant is good, though. So much so that they charge $67 for breakfast!

The staff was excellent - particularly Mildred at the front desk and the bar and valet staff. Everyone made you feel looked after and comfortable. The rooms were pretty nice and were clean. The restaurant and bar are beautiful and a great place to meet or work.

The key card reader was broken so I didn’t have a key card. I came back at 11pm and staff’s master key card was not working so I had to wait for an hour till someone to come and being told (I might not even be able to get in my room where all my stuff was). It was already midnight and I needed to wake up early in the morning! I was extremely exhausted and frustrated.

The noise cancellation doesn’t exist here. You will find yourself waking up at 4am because of the people or the wind.

Never gonna come back here!
