The Shay was an unexpectedly amazing hotel. We had never been to Culver City and were blown away by how nice the hotel was and how cool the City is. The vibe in the lobby is fantastic, kind of a mid-century modern feel that was hopping. The room was very large. We had a balcony but it was really more like a terrace with a couch and 2 chairs. The rooftop bar and pool were gorgeous.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The rooms are modern, clean, and spacious. We also enjoyed walking around the areas nearby. The part of this hotel that made our stay extraordinary was the thoughtful service, especially Albert, who worked the front desk overnight. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, and he was also very entertaining and the same time! His service made our experience here stand out above all other places we’ve stayed at in LA. We would love to rebook this hotel again if we are back in LA!

The service of this hotel was second to none, starting with valet and check in.

Our room suite was clean and well appointed. The extremely comfortable beds made us want to sleep in, but the great location made us want to venture out. The hotel gym and lobby were also extremely pleasant and clean.

Big kudos to the management of this hotel who have made every detail right! Their employees seem to be happy and thus make it a great environment to unwind in. We are so glad that we stayed here; it was a memorable stay and an “above and beyond” type of positive experience. We will most definitely be back!!

This hotel in the heart of Culver City provided an amazing stay with exceptional service. ||Our room was clean, modern and very comfortable. Everything worked great - comfy bed and pillows, nice toiletries, good water pressure in the shower, easy to access outlets for charging devices, filtered water stations on each floor, etc. The hotel itself is near so many cool shops and restaurants right around the property, making it ideal as a home base on the west side of LA.||The reason I enjoyed the hotel so much was the great service. We were greeted warmly at check-in and the front desk staff was all so helpful and friendly. The valet was always helpful and prompt. The bellhop helping with our bags was very professional. When we requested extra bedding, housekeeping was friendly and quick. When I had a question about the package I had booked, the front desk agent got it resolved in a kind manner. I was just so impressed with all of the staff I encountered. Special thanks to Haley and her staff at the front desk for helping make the stay so memorable and wonderful. This is my new go-to hotel in LA!

We loved our stay at The Shay! We stayed over Christmas and had such a lovely time. I typically have high expectations of hotels and then get disappointed in something, but everything was perfect here. We stayed in a room with a patio and I would definitely choose that type of room again. Gives so much more space and was great for letting our dogs lounge outside with us. The lobby area was so cute with the fireplace and while we were downstairs having a drink, we met so many nice people. Just a good atmosphere in general. And it was super clean and the staff was SO nice - the valets, front desk, restaurant (eat at Zaytinia!), bartenders, and more. Thank you, The Shay. We will be back!

One of the best experiences I’ve had at a hotel! My wife and I booked a day room for her birthday and the staff gave us the warmest welcome! They truly made it one of the best experiences for us in such a short amount of time. The room and view was beautiful and guest services was excellent to us and readily available when we made requests. This hotel is immaculate inside and out and the people who work there make it that much better. I’m not one to write reviews but based on our experience I had to! I would 1000% recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a great stay in such a beautiful location as Culver’s city! It will be worth every penny!

I had multiple rooms at the Shay hotel twice between December 2024 and January 2025. It is an excellent hotel. Beautifully appointed rooms and suits and delicious breakfast. ||The staff were professional and friendly. From the valet to the restaurant staff and room attendants. They were all perfect. What made the experience un believable, was the service I received from 2 ladies at the Front desk. For me, Carmel Cowie and Rebecca Clarke are the definition of Hospitality. From the moment I walked in the door to my good bye when I left, they made me feel at home. Attended to any and all questions I had with a smile. No guest could possibly have a less than perfect experience when greeted by these two fine ladies. ||I cant wait to come back

This was my first time staying at The Shay and it was fantastic! Location is perfect, metro is just a few steps aways, and plenty of restaurants within walking distance, including the Culver Steps. The hotel was welcoming with a friendly staff who were very informative about the area. Room (studio) was perfect and spacious, and exactly what I needed during my stay. Room service was great as well. All in all, I would highly recommend The Shay to anyone looking to stay in Culver City.
