I ordered the double smashburger and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! The service was Superior and a very friendly atmosphere. It was so good I came back literally the next day to have another burger. Great atmosphere for kids or adults. I'll definitely be coming here more often.

I was in the area with my family, and we decided on this spot randomly, so we weren't expecting much, but the food here is amazing.

The double smash burger I ordered was delicious, and my vegetarian brother also loved his veggie burger. The brussel sprouts had a nice maple flavor, and we all enjoyed the veggie pig out fries. The way the fries are cut so that they can hold the sauce well and while still being crispy was incredible.

The only complaint we had was that there was too much mustard on my mom's veggie bratwurst sandwich. She would've preferred the mustard on the side, but it was still delicious.

We've been here a couple times now and it is absolutely delicious! The first time I got the pork belly nugs, the full order. I couldn't even finish them all so I got to have some the next day. They were a little on the dry side but otherwise delicious. The second time I was going to try something else but I ended up ordering the daily special which was brisket burger, brisket meat on top of burger. I was going to take a picture of the sign but since I have a deadly ordered the last one they had available, they had pulled the sign by the time we went to leave. I told the girl when I ordered that it better be good brisket because I had just spent six years in Texas and had high standards. On the way out I held a thumbs up and told her the brisket was delicious. The flavor was perfect, it was very juicy and tender. I would order it again if they had it on the regular menu. I even suggested to her that they might consider serving a brisket sandwich since they did such a good job. They have great lunch prices and I think it's only a couple dollars more to add in fries and a drink to a regular meal.

Came here for a quick bit on a Saturday afternoon and it was great. The service is good, prices are fair and the food was pretty good. You really have no reason to go to a nasty chain place if you ask me. I was not a huge fan of the chokin chicken pizza but (the deep dish crust was good) but everything else was awesome. Wings were crispy and good, smashed burgers really good and big. They give you this pickled sides and those are great. Come grab a beer and enjoy the good food

What a cool name. Went on St. Paddy's day for some Corned Beef and Cabbage. The meat was amazing delicious. Unfortunately, the carrots and cabbage was still quite raw. Sent the Cabbage back to get cooked more and or was still raw. Bummer. Clearly it was not a normal item that their cooks made regularly. All the other food looked absolutely amazing and the others concurred. So, outside of St. Paddy's day, go and check this place out.

Wanted to try a new place tonight, so we found a spot just one exit away, so we thought why not? We got there and all the staff was nice and greeted us when we walked in. We ordered the That's My Boy pizza, a Chicken, Bacon & Ranch sandwich, and the Mastiff Fries. The pizza was not really a pizza, mostly thick bread with toppings on it. The sauce was pretty sweet, and distracted from the cheese, jalapenos and pepperoni, so we didnt enjoy it, despite having to put crushed red pepper and parmesean to try to make it taste better. The sandwich was okay, i thought the bacon was weird textured and extra thin it seemed... the only thing good was the mastiff fries, the sauce on them had great flavor. Overall, i would rate this place 3 Stars, because of service, but we wont be coming back unfortunately.

This was our first visit to Mastiff Kitchen. Thankfully, they weren’t extremely busy on Labor Day holiday for dinner. We dined with a party of four and looked forward to our meal since reading the favorable reviews since opening their La Mesa location. We ordered the following items: double smash burger with shoestring fries, pork nugs, & pig fries. We also had a glass each of their Sauvignon Blanc & Cabernet Sauvignon wines which were happy hour priced all night. All food dishes were served promptly, hot, well portioned, and tasty. The restaurant’s atmosphere is pretty casual, sound isn’t too loud or busy, service was good. We wanted to try their pizza as well but didn’t have the appetite to try it this time, but it’s on our short bucket list to try the next time we return.

The burgers are bland, but they have toppings galore. The pizza was OKAY, it was mostly bread.
The brunch menu was only available on weekends, which is a bummer. The food came out quick.
This place is not super expensive, but I doubt I'll be back.
