This place leaves a positive impression thanks to its cozy atmosphere and convenience. The place is spacious and obviously popular - almost all the seats were taken, even on a weekday. The background relaxation music adds to the calmness and creates a comfortable environment for work or socializing.

There are many places to sit in the coffee shop: cozy corners inside and several tables outside for those who like fresh air. They also sell various accessories and coffee beans, which will be interesting for coffee enthusiasts. The selection of desserts is great - everyone will find something to their taste.

We tried chocolate chip cookies, which were very tasty, and latte. The latte, unfortunately, was of average quality and taste, but the main problem was the temperature - it was too hot, which increases the risk of burning. It would be nice if they took into account the optimal temperature for serving coffee, as this is an important detail for the comfort of guests.

Overall, Lightbulb Coffee is a good place for meetings, work, or relaxation, but there are a few things that need attention to make the visit even more enjoyable.

It's all taken up by people who like to work at a coffee shop table.
There's a selection of desserts, nice croissants.
It's comfortable. I didn't like the coffee itself, it was bitter and very hot

Coffee and food are pretty good and staff are always friendly. Lots of places to sit to chat, read, or study. Overall, the atmosphere is great and the music isn’t so loud. The only negative is the bathroom. They’re pretty gross and it doesn’t look like they clean it often.

I like this spot but after waiting 20 min by the counter for my online pickup and moldy bread, I will probably never come back. Every time i do an online pickup, which is supposed to be an in and out process for people who are busy and cannot wait long, i am completely ignored and its like i dont even exist. You really have to take initiative and ask if your order is ready which is fine, but seems like the biggest burden to the people working there like it isnt part of their job. I wouldnt have wrote this review initially, until i got back home and saw mold on my sandwich. I used to look past the terrible service because their coffee is good, but after today i cannot handle how poorly run and miserable this place seems. Go here if you like to make the baristas life a living hell by asking where your online order is (they will literally let you sit there for 20 min without asking why.. like yeah let me hangout here for 20 min w no drink thats exactly what i wanted to do today) or if you want to get Foodborne illness:)

Literally one of my favorite coffee shops in SD. Love the vibes and atmosphere. Grab a coffee and hang out or walk around the strip. It's big and cozy and has a rustic/modern/chic to it. Love love love this place. The staff is always so nice too.
Especially love that they carry soy milk amongst a ton other options.

The smell of coffee fuming with the sound of music and open space. I ordered the milkshake Oreo. The staff is friendly and fast and sufficient. It's very earthy in here it has a homage type of coffee feel to it. The menu is very easy to read and write enough to be completely understood. Parking could be a problem if you have a big vehicle.

Loveliest staff in all of San Diego. I especially love the turkish latte and always choose to come here for that when i want to stop for coffee. I tried the spinach feta pastry before and it was buttery and flaky and delicious. The food in general there is really good. Two of my friends got sandwiches and they only had good things to say. One of my favorite spots in the city.

Update: under new ownership. Clearly. Lost is cleanliness and order. Staff isn't as nice. They had everything in stock to make the peanut butter latte but won't make it. This place is a pass.

Old post: I literally go out of my way to go to this place. The selection is massive and EVERYTHING is good. The coffee is unique and delicious.
This literally is my new favorite coffee and sandwich place.
