Delicious food with friendly service in a cute setting, I couldn’t ask for more for a wonderful breakfast spot

There is indoor and outdoor seating, the location is in a strip mall so parking is immediately available

You order at the counter and it is delivered to your table

On the weekends, it got crowded with quite a line to order, but on weekdays there was no wait

The name says bakery, but it seems to be more of a café. There is not a visible selection of baked goods that you can order to go.

The stuffed French toast was delicious! You order at the counter and they will bring the food out. Inside and outside seating is available. Only 4 stars for service because no one ever came out to check on us, but not a huge deal. If we needed something we could have gone in. In the end, it's the food. Super yummy. We will definitely be going back.

Good selections but most dishes have cheese 🧀 but menu descriptions don't state that it has cheese. I tried the corn beef hash with eggs. It was okay but the hash was very salty 🧂 I suppose if you mix the potatoes and eggs with the hash it will tame the saltiness of the hash. Coffee ☕️ is good especially since there is a selection to choose from.

Came here for the first time today as I was in the area. Love the homey feel of the place and the staff were friendly. It was busy but I was able to find a table for myself. The lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes, poached eggs and coffee were good. One star off as I also ordered some bacon on the side and they were a little cold and hard. For $30 total with tip I wish they were a little more fresh. All in all, not bad, it was a decent experience.

La Mesa Bistro & Bakery is an utter travesty masquerading as a dining establishment. The food is outrageously overpriced, yet somehow manages to be both flavorless and a textural disaster—imagine soggy, stale regret on a plate. The portions are so pitiful they’d barely satisfy a toddler, especially considering the absurd cost. As for taste? It’s nonexistent, unless you consider a heavy-handed assault of salt and grease a "culinary vision."

The service is a matching trainwreck—glacial, inattentive, and teetering on outright rude. I asked for a simple glass of water and was met with nothing but indifference; it never arrived. Wait times stretch into eternity, only for the food to finally show up looking like it’s been languishing under a heat lamp since breakfast.

The atmosphere seals the deal on this dumpster fire of an experience. Cramped, dated, and suffocating under a bizarre stench of musty old books and charred toast, it feels like no one’s bothered to clean since the place opened. For the same price—or honestly, far less—you could eat somewhere that doesn’t make you question your life choices. Skip this disaster unless you’re in the mood to flush your money and appetite down the drain.

Absolutely loved this place. We keep thinking about when we are going back. We actually set out for breakfast and were at another location nearby, but they stopped offering breakfast items. We drove a street down and found this gem. We are so happy we did. The service inside was awesome. Freshly made coffee made me so happy. We got a red velvet pancake, an omelet, and stuffed fenwch toast. Oh my, were they all delicious and beautiful. We sat outside and wished we brought our pup as it was pet friendly on the patio. Please head ovet.there soon and they out anything on the menu. I bet it's all yummy.
