They mixed up our order and gave it to another table. After waiting for more than half an hour for a simple order (two entree and two side dish) and seeing all the customers (3 of them) came after us has left with their belly full, we asked them where our food was, and then the cahsier woman kept saying that they’re packing the food, which was a lie. Also she said that it’s normal to wait this long, and I said it’s not true because theee customers come after us already left after eating their meals.
And we asked them to cancel our order and she refused. We rather eat somewhere else at that point after being treated like that.
In this whole process, there is no apologize or checking up on us.
It is our first time and last time here.
They would not respect you and your time.

The food:
We finally got our order, the food is below average.
Butter chicken - mostly just cream - 5/10 - shredded chicken.
Roti - what am I eating! Doesn’t taste like it at all. 0/10.
Garlic naan - 7/10
Mutton Biryani - 6/10

We have much better food at other Indian restaurant in the area.

Is this a takeout spot or a dine-in restaurant? The place is very small for dining in. The food smelled good, but the taste did not match the aroma. It tasted average.

Worst food I ever had in my life.Ordered 2 biryani’s parcel and they gave me Biryani with a stinky smell.it may be few days older. I called them and gave the feedback.

Small outlet, not very good for dining in. No restroom actually. Please order pickup.

The food is pretty adventurous for a person not used to the spiciness level of South Indian food. Yeah, even the mild is super spicy for some of people. Watch out!

But I like it as I am pretty good at spicy food.

Btw, this is not a cheap eating if you consider the amount of meat in a dish like chicken Biryani.

I come here for every other meal this is one of the only places that always brings me back. Not only is the food delicious the restaurant managers are some of the most polite people I’ve met. Thank you Biryani!!

The restaurant isn’t muck to look at from the outside and the inside is small seats maybe 20. The food is tasty though, the highlight was the butter chicken and butter naan both a 4+ dish. The vegetable biriyani was a 3 along with the tandoori chicken, which was a bit dry. The mango lassi and the rose milk drinks were well received. There is a kids menu. One note is that there is no customer restroom. There is a steady stream of delivery drivers.

I stopped off here on the way to Costco because I was craving butter chicken. The restaurant is very unassuming so I hesitated and stepped out. In my car, I googled butter chicken and this was the first place to pop up and the reviews for butter chicken were good so I went back and ordered butter chicken, veggie pakora, mango lassi, naan, and gulag jamun. EVERYTHING was delicious! I also noticed a lot of to-go pickups and food delivery services picking up food. This place is busy! And with good reason. The food was delicious! After I finished my meal, I ordered more butter chicken (how many times can I wrote butter chicken in this review? 😆) and Hyderabadi chicken biryani (recommended by staff) for my family to share in this delectable and delicious experience! I live in Lake Tahoe but come to the Bay Area quite often and will return! Very highly recommend!

Hyderabad Dum Biryani is a cozy restaurant with flavorful food and excellent service!! We ordered chicken 65 biryani and paneer masala with garlic naan and left thoroughly satisfied with the lovely meal from the small business. The complimentary gulab was also very considerate for our entire party. We constantly saw take out orders being picked up and happy customers around us. I would always recommend you bring your best because they too will do everything they can to make it the best experience for your entire party.
