Great experience! We kayaked @3 miles which was an easy paddle. Was able to see
Tiger sharks. Sea lions, native fish and go into the cave! Our guides were very informative and friendly. Would highly recommend this adventure.

Had a great excursion on the water with Chris. First time in an ocean kayak and excited to go again. Entertaining patter and did well keeping the group together.
Weather and wave conditions didn't allow us to get close to the caves or see much sea life, but Chris kept us entertained anyway.

We enjoyed the kayak tour and snorkeling, but it could have been better. They called and asked to move our tour from 12 to 12:30, which was fine. We arrived at noon to check in, but no employee told us what we needed to do or where to go, or got us our equipment. Finally, at 12:35, I asked a girl coming back from break what we were supposed to do, and she told us to get our equipment. Elise was great and deserves a raise; she was very patient with the slower participants. Other than that, it was a good trip should tell the girl that checked us in she should be more concerned with the customer having a good experience not talking with the boy she was working with.

Tyler Hobbs was an amazing guide!! He was so knowledgeable of the wildlife, local plant and sandstone in the LaJolla area. My daughter and I had a great time on the sea and learned a few things too.

So i should say i give this a high star rating for overall but there were definitely some areas that need real improvement. I went with my older parents and i am middle age and we all enjoyed the experience a lot, it was fun, challenging at times, and we saw some very beautiful caves and sea animals. Instructors were overall very good, patient and very nice, but occasionally due to the size of the group it seemed a little chaotic and i could not always hear the instructions and once we were out of the cave there was a little time i was unsure where i should be waiting. We were also with some much less experienced kayakers and they were all over the place which made group ocean kayaking more challenging. It is also about a mile or so from beach to cave and for people with back issues it can be challenging back and forth. Also use strong sunscreen i looked a little like a lobster when i was done as did my family. Waterproof phone case also really came in handy for getting pictures.

Although we probably booked during the worst time of the year weather wise, our kayak tour was still pretty fun. It was just my sister and I since another group didn’t show and our tour guides Tyler and Zach were amazing. This type of thing was definitely out of our comfort zone since we were visiting from AZ, but they showed that they really cared for our safety as well as having fun, they were both very passionate about the ocean and wildlife which resulted in a lot of fun facts and stories. We would definitely book again in the future 🙂 (I recommend taking Dramamine even if you don’t usually get motion sick)

We had so much fun. Angela was amazing, she really helped us when we flipped. Magdalena and Angela are a great pair!!! We will do it again next time we are in town.
