This place is a cute gem. The food is so good they sell out of things(as advertised). They have a great beer selection and are located in a nice rustic place. The food was delicious, and I really enjoyed their BBQ sauce. If you're in Santa Cruz area I highly recommend it.

As a local real estate agent, I’m always on the lookout for great spots to recommend to clients and friends—and this place is one of them! The pulled pork is some of the best I’ve had, perfectly smoky and tender, and the desserts are absolutely worth saving room for. The atmosphere is just as good as the food, with live blues music every night that really sets the mood. On warm evenings, sitting outside is a fantastic experience. And don’t miss the breakfast tacos! Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is a must-visit for great barbecue and even better vibes!

Aptos BBQ used to be an excellent place to go. I used to dream about this place. I came back 10 years later and maybe it became corporate, maybe the owners are now rich and don't care anymore, but the food is so disappointing now. $20 for a bread sandwich and a paper bowl filled with chopped cabbage.

The service was good and the atmosphere was great…but the food……yuck!
I’m so sorry I have to write this review…..

The beans tasted like someone wasted chili powder in the whole batch. The Mac and cheese tasted like spoiled cheese, and the kids brisket had more fat on it than meat. The garlic bread’s garlic was so overpowering that you could hardly enjoy the chopped beef. The ice machine was inoperable..the potato salad had a pink tinge and tasted like it had some weird powder mixture. The salad was a healthy choice but the added smoked chicken did not have a “smoked” taste..just regular cold chicken with no flavor.

If you have had any of these menu items that tasted similar to my experience..give this message a thumbs up.

If you are visiting Aptos, GO HERE!!! I ordered takeout but stayed an ate it there soon as I realized there was live blues music starting in 5 mins at 6pm. I LOVED IT!! brisket was delicious and baked potato too. Corn bread wasn’t my liking but I LOVED this spot. Felt like a private concert because there was just a few people there but the music and food was SO GOOD!

Super friendly staff, wide variety of menu items, nice atmosphere including live music. The food was tasty and filling. Inside seating can get noisy. There’s a nice outside seating area as well. Offers carry out. Parking is limited on the property with added parking on the street. Good food, positive vibes and good times.

Not as good as MISSION ST. BBQ, but still great food. They were out of the Squealing Pig, Corn bread, Spicy BBQ sauce, their sandwiches were missing Jalepenos and pickled onions. The atmosphere was great and it's worth the trip if you can't make it over to MISSION ST. BBQ.

Aptos St. BBQ keeps it real like Brenda from the Dave Chappell show! Baby ribs on point! Grab a little of the spicy bbq sauce. Soooo good! Finished with corn bread and Maui Waui IPA.
