The room was extremely clean but service was lacking; we arrived at approximately 7 pm and guests were waiting in the lobby to check in; there was a sign on front counter I am gone I will return later; but no time and guests had waited at least 15 minutes so we decided to get supper and returned to check in; upon returning clerk was there; we had requested rooms at least close as we were traveling with an elderly lady and they put us on separate floors; she was quite uncomfortable; it appeared the hotel wasn’t full but attendant said they try to accommodate you; buy you could tell she didn’t look; next we had no towels in our room but we didn’t know this until morning when we went to shower and neither did our friend on the third floor but attendant graciously brought linens; also went to make coffee and there was only coffee for 1 person. This is a lovely hotel which just needs to get some good supervision; but unfortunately; didn’t help our stay.

Candlewood Suites in Dothan is a beautiful and modern property that really impressed us upon arrival. The hotel has a great feel, and the layout of the rooms is excellent! We stayed in room 239, and the space was comfortable and well-designed, making it easy to settle in.

Pros:
• The hotel is nice and new! You can feel the freshness as soon as you walk in.
• The rooms have a great layout, and we loved how spacious and organized everything was.
• The coffee was a highlight! The machine grinds the beans fresh for each cup, and it’s piping hot—perfect for starting the day.

Cons:
Unfortunately, we found two live roaches ? in our room, which really put a damper on the stay. While everything else was wonderful, the presence of these pests took away from what could have easily been a 5-star experience.

Overall, Candlewood Suites has great potential, but they definitely need to address the cleanliness in the rooms. Would consider staying again if this issue is resolved!

Neat and clean hotel; it was only open a few weeks earlier when we arrived. Slightly different style of Candlewood Suites room with a slightly more compact kitchen but a more usable desk (rather than just a table). Bathroom is also slightly larger than typical Candlewood Suites. Everything seemed to work fine.

Stayed here when visiting fort Novosel and glad we did! The front desk told us the hotel has been open for only 80 days. The rooms were very clean, and we loved the kitchenette. The highlight of our stay was the bed and pillows. We loved how comfortable the beds were, we had a great night’s sleep. The front desk staff were kind and attentive. The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast but that’s wasn’t a big deal because we had brunch at Toasted Yolk down the road. Overall it was a great stay, we will return!

Family evacuated from Hurricane Milton and the hospitality was amazing. We were nervous and scared already with what was going on. The staff was always checking on us to see if we needed anything, including the maintenance crew. Huge shoutout to jasmine. She was incredible. We work in hospitality, I wish we could steal her. So thoughtful, intentional, and being the water within that hotel. She blended in when she was needed while making sure her guests, who she has no clue who we are, are taken care of. Local church coordinated with jasmine/hotel, a free lunch for all of her guests who had evacuated. If we owned this establishment, it would be a very proud moment, knowing that this establishment is well taken care of. Nice job jasmine.

We evacuated here for Helene. Thankfully pet friendly for $75 additional per stay (not per night).

Room was as advertised but missing the table and the floor had old food on it upon arrival.

Super nice front desk staff. Located close to restaurants and sports complex.

I never stay at a hotel (we always Airbnb) but was in town for a tournament. The funny part about this newer hotel is the dichotomy of good and bad. Good - new and relatively clean. Nice to have Dove products in the bathroom. The suites were well stocked. Bad - no breakfast, no lotion or any extras in the bathrooms. Could have had a cheapo Keurig instead. However, the coffee downstairs was really good. All in all, a good stay.

I recently stayed at the Candlewood Suites from August 12th to 14th. The hotel is new, and upon entering, it was clean, welcoming, and had a wonderful fragrance. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The manager, Jasmine Martinez, has even partnered with local restaurants to offer discounted breakfast options. The coffee bar and snack bar were fantastic amenities. The room featured a full kitchen, complete with a dishwasher. Overall, this is a great hotel, and I had a wonderful stay!
