Rooms don’t have AC/Heat so they are either too cold or too hot. The walls are SOOO thin. We were on the bottom floor and could hear every sound from above (walking around, toilet flushing, etc.). This property is mostly time shares and the timeshare residents get the close parking (hotel residents have to walk far or shuttle a ride). It’s not worth the price in my opinion. Staff were all nice and helpful though.

We came with our 4yo, and overall, we had a good time. We paid around $700+/night for an ocean view suite. The location is perfect and on the sand. The afternoon winds will break your spirits, so make sure you're up early. Mornings are nice and calm. We had a few issue, and we were hoping they would have been taken care of. Day 1, our shower was backing up, so we told on-site staff. It never got fixed. By Day 3, the shower was completely unusable. The provided blow dryer kept tripping the breaker, and the screen slider wouldn't lock. We did the in-room breakfast for 2 days. Day 1 was really nice. The second day, it was cold, sad, and missing items. One of the days had a beautiful little wedding on the sand. The area was shut down for about 2-3 hours, which wasn't a big deal. Then we went to eat. When we came back the wedding and restaurant had taken all the guest parking. We then parked by the lobby. We asked for a ride, but after 10 mins, we ended up just walking through the sand whipping dunes. This place is a great concept, and the people were nice. It just doesn't always work like it should.

Phenomenal Hotel! The views were spectacular. The beach experience with the evening fire pits were awesome. The staff was top notch and very responsive to our needs. The Salt Wood Kitchen (the on property restaurant) served spectacular food! Go during Happy Hour!

From the moment you arrive, you feel like you’ve entered a sanctuary! Susan warmly welcomed us at check-in, providing all the information we needed for a comfortable stay. She then introduced us to Julio, who escorted us to our room and offered additional recommendations. The rooms were immaculate and well-equipped with all the amenities. Our beachfront suite boasted stunning views! Highly recommend this place for a peaceful retreat.

We recently stayed at this hotel, and while the property and beach were beautiful, the overall experience didn’t meet our expectations, especially given the premium price.||||The suite was lovely—well-appointed with drinks in the refrigerator, beach towels, and a sand brush. The bathroom was beautiful, and the design was simple yet elegant, making for a comfortable space.||||Upon arrival, we were informed the restaurant was closed that day, leaving limited in-room dining options (chicken, salmon, or a burger). The bar was open until 10 PM, but we were told we couldn’t eat there. Considering the hotel’s location, with the nearest restaurant being a Denny’s, this wasn’t the welcome we anticipated. There was also a bonfire on the beach, but no other advertised daily wellness activities were available. The front desk suggested a nearby studio for yoga that we could arrange ourselves.||||We drove 15 minutes for Thai takeout and stopped by the restaurant to ask for flatware. The door was roped shut with a “closed” sign, yet guests were still seated at the bar. The door was unlocked, and the manager asked what we needed. When I requested flatware, he asked where I was staying, possibly due to the timeshare on the property.||||Back in our $700-per-night room, we ate our takeout dinner, which didn’t match the experience we had hoped for. Breakfast was limited to a door-tag service for the next day. Had we received a call about the restaurant’s closure or been provided a list of nearby recommendations, it would have helped us plan better. We did receive an email asking to upgrade our stay along with a link to make dining reservations that night. ||We did express our concerns at check-in and later in the evening after the restaurant fiasco, but no steps were taken to resolve the issues.||||On a positive note, the bellman was kind and helpful. While the property is beautiful, the service and experience were disappointing. We stayed at a 3-star hotel in Carmel, CA prior to this, and the experience there was far superior in terms of service and value.||||This stay was a letdown in an otherwise amazing California trip. I hope the management takes this feedback into consideration for future guests.

This a fantastic place to stay. We had a wonderful time. The beach bonfire fantastic. The pool and jacuzzi are heated. The staff is great. The salt wood restaurant is a fantastic place to have dinner or brunch. The location is a short walk to the beach. The room was amazing. They are very dog friendly.
