Love this Santa Cruz KOA location and ALL the staff is wonderful. I'm a manager at a luxury hotel in Monterey Bay and I enjoyed the great service at check-in and everywhere. Whenever I ran into any KOA staff, I was greeted with a smile + hello! That's super important. I also wanted to say that I also really appreciated getting a pre-arrival call letting me know that my glamping unit was ready early! (my special request) Thank you! The property is beautiful, the jacuzzi is huge, pool is really nice, and the fellow campers staying there are really good people. Really great programs almost every weekend so see the calendar. It's a happy place for kids and adults! Robert

We’ve stayed in 53 different locations all over the United States in the past 5 months and I can honestly say our site at this KOA is the prettiest we’ve ever had. Nice wide sites with low hedges between them allow for some privacy without feeling closed in. Our back-in site had a sweet patio with comfy Adirondak chairs and a table, overlooking a beautiful green space with no other rig or home in sight. The park is very well maintained with clean bathrooms, pool, hot tub and laundry room. The staff are warm, friendly, and helpful. My one complaint, and it isn’t enough for me to drop my 5 star rating, is that the dryers take too many cycles to dry a load, making it VERY expensive to do a load of laundry. I would also caution that it is about 45 minutes from Monterey so if you’re coming to the area to tour the 17 Mile Drive or Big Sur Highway, you’re a long way from the start of either.

We have stayed at several KOA’s over the last few years. This one was hands down the best yet. The level of service was top notch, amenities were plentiful and diversity of site types offers something for everyone. My only gripe was the road in from the south, but since it’s set in the hills along the beach, what can you do! Good work Santa Cruz KOA

This KOA is outstanding! We were a large group. We came for a theme weekend and everything was well planned, communicated and organized. The staff and management was beyond welcoming and accommodating. The new General Manager is doing great things with this facility. Some highlights were the fully stocked camp store, two bounce pillows, meals available for purchase, live music, fun events for the whole family and extremely clean facilities. The beach is right across the street. We couldn't ask for anything more. We can't wait to return soon!

We visited over the Christmas break and really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was super friendly and helpful- even though they were away from their family. Site was clean all around- RV site, heated pool/sauna and bathrooms. We really enjoyed ourselves since this location is close to Monterey and Santa Cruz but far away if you just want to hang out ! We will be back!

Great area.
Great location.
Loved the outdoor family activities! But need new bocce balls, they were in rough shape.
Also, wish everything wasn’t an added fee. Hot chocolate and many other things use to be free (use to love the free charcuterie n wine for adults by the pool!)! That made it amazing and great value for a big family.
I noticed the main room was often empty since no one wanted to pay for every little thing…
Oh side note, Emily, is simply fabulous! Friendly and kind plus she’s great with kids!!!

Great place for family fun. Lots of stuff to do on the campsite like, bike riding, basketball, volleyball plus a pool and Jacuzzi. Very close to a few beaches. About 25 minutes from either Santa Cruz or Monterrey. Overall excellent vacation spot.

We have been travelling through a few US states and we tend to stay at KOA parks, as they are well located and well appointed. This particular park required us to wear a red arm band (not unlike what they give young people at a music concert). The girl on the desk, with her eyebrows shaved, slapped these arm bands on us to keep everyone safe. We don’t have a problem with keeping everyone safe, but is an arm band really necessary…? |At a previous KOA, they offered the orange arm bands but didn’t require us to wear them.
