Staying at this 5 star establishment was a dream come true. The rooms are generously spacious and well detailed. The grounds are kept clean at all times and pool area was a delight. 10/10 – Our family had a fantastic experience during our stay at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the front desk and bell service, who made check-in a breeze and ensured all our belongings were taken care of. Although our original room overlooked some construction, we were able to upgrade to an ocean-view room at a reduced rate thanks to booking through American Express Travel. The view was breathtaking, and the room itself was spotless and well-appointed.

We enjoyed delicious meals at The Grill, where the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our two young children. We also received a food discount and a spa credit, which was a wonderful bonus. The concierge was incredibly helpful, securing dinner reservations at top local spots, which elevated our experience even more.

The grounds were immaculate, especially as preparations for the upcoming golf tournament were underway, and everything felt serene and pristine. Although we didn’t use the pool, we explored the beautiful property and even got a photo with the Christmas tree as the holiday decor added a magical touch.

We’ve stayed here before and will absolutely return—it’s a perfect retreat for families looking for a peaceful, luxurious getaway in San Diego. Highly recommend!

Marissa was the most professional and personable server. She made the atmosphere and great food even better. We had a great overall experience. We will def be back. The lunxh was delicsious even the sasparilla and ginger beer. The chicken sandwich was inventive and satisfying and the chocolate carmel cake sublime.

It was an unplanned stay while in San Diego for 2 conferences a week apart. I decided to take some vacation time in between them and ended up staying 3 nights here. The staff made this such a great experience. The suite was spectacular, views of golf course and the ocean. Room service was great, spa staff was fantastic, the bar and restaurant staff and food were both stellar, valet/front desk/bell/housekeeping staff were all so friendly and helpful!! This is truly a 5 star luxurious place to stay. I felt like I was a world away. I will be back for sure!!!

Beautiful property and friendly staff. The only things to be noted for improvement would be the restaurant had a 20 to 30 minute wait and we had reservations. There were a few scratches, nicks, and dings on the nightstand and bed post. There was also some construction debris and trash below or balcony. My hope is that the staff would be more attentive to details for $500 a night.
