This room was disgusting. Stains on door frames and walls, mouse droppings, towels were unfolded and seemed dirty, TV is only 5 channels of HBO and nothing else, fridge had a dead spider and a lot of tape holding it together. The room felt as though it has never been fully cleaned. After a long day on the road this motel should be avoided if you need a comfortable and restful night.

Paid $176 and expected a decent place.
There were no cups in the room, I had for a chair to be brought in as there was none in the room. The front desk attendant was nice and brought me a chair and coffee cups.
Stains and hair on the bed, and the floor was sticky.

This has got to be one of the worst run hotels I've ever been to. This review will apply to every single guest that stays here.
There is rarely anyone running the front desk, so if you need anything, good luck with that. I wanted to check in a day early and just showed up to the hotel. I had to wait TWO HOURS for the on-call staffer to show up, who was clearly at home, as I heard children in the background. Later, I wanted to get a paper plate for my room so I could use the microwave, but again, no staff, so I had to wait, you guessed it, TWO HOURS, to get a paper plate. They lock the cafeteria up at 9 am, so if you don't get your supplies before then, good luck.
They don't even open the front doors until sometime after 9-930 am. Means they are strict about their breakfast timetable but totally careless about guest services. It's a total mess. When I called the lady out for it being insane that there's no one staffed during regular business hours, she tried to blame me for not calling ahead to let them know I'd be coming in a day early. As if I should've known that this hotel wouldn't have anyone working at it. Not even an apology for the wait. They never even told me what time checkout is, so I guess I gotta figure that out myself, too.
The cleaning staff are the only people you'll ever see regularly and unfortunately they have no power to provide guest services. My room was quite clean, so at least they're doing their job well.
This is not a kid-friendly hotel. The majority of guests I've run into look like major junkies or drug dealers. I ran into one super stereotypically strung out lady as I was getting food delivery outside who ducked into a small little nook in the walls to do something and kept looking at me to make sure I wasn't watching her. Bet you can guess what that was. Regularly there are people just loitering in the parking lot. It's so sketchy. Makes the fact that they're cutting costs on guest services that much worse. There needs to be a security guard on staff. Or maybe the owners look the other way in exchange for their business.
Unless you absolutely need to stay at this hotel, which unfortunately I did, due to its location near an auto shop I was doing business with, I would avoid it *at all costs*. I've literally never stayed in a hotel where there was no one staffed during regular business hours and that decision is bleeding into this place becoming a drug den. It's completely unacceptable behavior.

I stayed for 2 weeks at the Comfort Inn, Watsonville and was surprised that it was one of the more comfortable low budget hotels I've stayed at. The room was clean when we checked in with good bedding and everything worked. The room was also quite spacious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating when I had to continue my stay with several different reservation add-ons. I was also able to have my dog there for an extra nightly fee that wasn't o early outrageous. For the price, this is one of the better budget motels in the area.

Excellent service and the best game in town at a fair price. Front desk were very kind and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and everything worked fine. We had bought some meals but didn’t have any utensils and the front desk very kindly provided. Have stayed for several days on 2 occasions. Conveniently located a short walk to a shopping center that has Safeway, Rite Aid, etc. I’m thankful for this hotel in Watsonville because the other choices in town are.. well… not places I would stay.
The previous poster who complained about lack of service arriving a day early is completely out of line. Watsonville isn’t a big city metropolis with all the big box stores. That negative poster could have easily walked a block to the Safeway, or requested utensils with his meals. He was obviously having a bad day and blaming it on the hotel.

Traveling for work can be stressful and unpredictable. Nani at the front desk showed excellent customer service and went the extra mile to help me with my late booking after a very long trip she made my visit worth wanting to return. Also the cleaning staff in the morning shift were also kind and courteous. I am very pleased with my stay

Rooms: Nice but one of the two we bought needed cleaning, they took care of it right away.
Service: As others have said, very friendly and personable
Location: right next to the transit center works for me

Positive: "" Negative: Rundown/unkempt. Mold in shower, no desk area, magnifying mirror and other things missing. Phone did not work. Dirty socks and hat left behind/not cleaned. Doors close 7pm - only people w/key could leave/enter. No vending machines. Used for farm housing.
