A great place to stay when we visit Aptos. Friendly service. Very clean on comfortable rooms. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. They are pet friendly for a fee. There was no microwave in our room. Not sure if they have them in others. We will be staying here again for our next visit.

Koi pond was awesome. Pool and hot tub were clean and nice. Rooms are a little on the small side, but the patio was a definite bonus. Spent 3 nights, room was never straightened up. (Not sure if you're supposed to request cleaning.) Nice place overall. Front desk was helpful and friendly.

I recently stayed at the Seacliff Inn in Aptos due to a power outage at my home. I chose this hotel because it would take me and my dog for the night. The additional cost of accommodation for my dog was $100. Unfortunately, this hotel is not regularly maintained for quality assurance and was one of the worst hotels I have ever experienced!

Here is a list of the problems I experienced at this hotel:

Although internet service was advised, it was not available. The coffee pot was missing from the room coffee machine, so no morning coffee. The bath soap container in the shower was empty. Also, the electrical plugs and USB connections in the table next to bed were nonfunctional. The desk clerk told me that this room was one of their “DeLux Hotel Rooms”. I wonder what their regular rooms are like.

I left itchy from bed bugs on my legs as well.

Positive: The check in staff were great. Restaurant and Bar were really cool. Live music is a must see. Location is fun lots oof cool coffee shops and retail locations just around the corner. Negative: The room wasntt clean. Found a used earplug on the floor between the bunkbeds. Clumps of long red hair on the shower wall & floor. A room for 8 had towles for 2. reached out multiple times it to refill soap was never refilled.

Service was excellent, Clare front desk, Hannah bartender and room service, Rere bartender and Natalie waitress were stand outs. Free breakfast was very good. Room was clean and comfortable.
Best hotel I've stayed at in a long time.

I have stayed several times at this property. The hotel and restaurant staff are always kind and helpful. Claire is the best! we enjoy the individual patio/balcony but I wish the rooms had a microwave. The on site restaurant offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, happy hour and live music nights. With all these enemies, it definitely is relaxation stay.

Booked a room weeks ahead of time via booking.com. When I arrived late at night, I tried to check in with my confirmation number provided. Front desk staff told me that there was a mistake, they had no room for me, they were unwilling to provide a refund, and provided zero additional support.

The worst part was the front desk staff, Nick, who had zero empathy and was borderline cruel while I was simply trying to understand I they did not have my room. He was immediately dismissive, speaking down to my fiance and I, and rushing us to get out. I’ve stayed at this hotel in the past and this one individuals behavior has made me question what type of institution hires such individuals for customer service.

Book.com ended up confirming that it was in fact Seacliff Inn’s error resulting in them losing my reservation.

I encourage you all to double check any third party reservations ahead of time with the hotel and to limit your expectations on customer service during your visit.

My husband and I just returned from an incredible stay at the Sea Cliff Tapestry Hotel, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a romantic escape. From the moment we checked in, we were welcomed by the warm, attentive service and the overall charm of the place.

Our room had a beautiful garden view that instantly set the tone for a relaxing weekend. The outdoor lighting in the evenings added a magical, romantic vibe, making even a simple walk around the property feel special.The room itself was decently clean, though I did feel the attention to detail could have been better—small things like corners or surfaces could have used a little extra care. That said, it wasn’t enough to detract from our overall experience. The updated décor was modern yet cozy. I also loved that they stocked Starbucks coffee in the room—no cheap hotel coffee here!

One of the biggest highlights for us was the fantastic bar and restaurant. They offer live music on the weekends, which was such a treat because it meant we didn’t have to leave the hotel for great entertainment. The food was amazing—high-quality, delicious, and with so much variety that there’s something for everyone, even if you have dietary restrictions. The pricing was reasonable too, which is always a bonus.

The hotel has thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable. Adjoining rooms are available, which would be great for larger groups or families, though it felt perfectly private for our romantic stay. It’s clear they prioritize both comfort and convenience in every detail.

If you’re looking for a romantic getaway with great service, beautiful views, fantastic food, and a relaxed yet upscale vibe, the Sea Cliff Tapestry Hotel in Aptos is absolutely the place to be. I can’t wait to come back!
