Nice place. I love the gloves at the buffet. Everything was great I would like to see breast in the fried chicken. Music is soothing and the customers were all very friendly

Martha's place is well known in Montgomery and we love our meat and three places. The food here is pretty good but for a meat and three buffet the options are limited. The chicken was a little dry on my last visit but had good flavor. The sides were great with a little seasoning. The service was pretty downtrodden as everyone seemed like they didn't really like their job. The health score could use some work to get up from 86, and 86 is about what the men's restroom felt like as the heat in there was just a cookin. My grand ma would be remiss if you didn't give them a try but I would still prefer other spots personally. Didn't love having to wear gloves to prepare my food either but I guess I get it

I ate at Martha's for years when I worked downtown, and Martha's was located downtown. The food, service, and atmosphere was always great!!!
I ate at Martha's for the first time on 10/8/24. The food was delicious!!!
The service was great!!! And, the atmosphere was very nice!!! Needless to say I will be eating at Martha's really soon. If I could rate six stars, I would!

Great soul food, comfort food, southern cooking buffet!! Martha is a wonderful very special lady who really puts her heart into this place and her food! Plenty of parking and seating. They have rooms available for private parties. We used this space for an 80th birthday party for a family member and it met our need perfectly. We had a memorable afternoon. This is the type of place worth supporting. I will support this place to the fullest, we eat here a lot and tell others to about it too. If you want to go on a Saturday, call to check if they are open as they do have private parties on Saturday. They have that posted on the door, call first or go another day.

I loved the setting and atmosphere of Martha's. It is definitely multidimensional and perfect for family, church, business, social, or personal gatherings. The tables were decorated with real flowers. They were so beautiful. The price I paid for the meal and the service I received were fair. I never had to ask for refills. The staff members were soooo kind. The food was delicious and reminded me of grandma's cooking when I was a little girl in the country... Definitely will dine here again.

It was me and my boyfriend’s first time coming and the service was not good at all. It was hot and dark in the place and we had a hard time finding a clean table. Our waiter (which never introduced herself as our waiter) asked what we wanted to drink as she was speed walking by with plates in her hand. If my boyfriend would’ve wanted anything other than what I wanted to drink, she wouldn’t have heard it that’s how fast she flew by asking what we wanted to drink. Never checked on us again, so we had to share a straw and had to search for silverware ourselves because it was only one on the table. When I finally got a chance to ask for another straw it seemed as if she had an attitude. Maybe if we had the woman she was calling her sister as our waitress we would’ve had a better experience, she seemed to be very nice to her customers. Hate to say it but that’s Montgomery for ya! You rarely get good service in that city.

Decent buffet. No Mac & Cheese or candied yams on buffet today makes it less of a soul food buffet. 3 meats on bar, if you count chicken & dumplings. Food we ate was delicious, hot and well seasoned. Server was knowledgeable and professional/ personable. Overall, great restaurant.
