This is the oldest functioning hotel in Laguna beach and all the charm and character that come with that are there. From the wooden floors and ceilings to the wall sconces and lighting choices. You may feel you are on a visit to seaside Spain. That being said don’t expect large double sinked bathroom vanities and king sized beds. It is European sized and appropriately so. They do provide waffle robes which is a nice amenity I always look for. I did not get the coffee maker in the room to work but they offer a big pot of coffee in the lobby with granola bars and hot water for oatmeal. Being near the beach I did miss not having a balcony and view but that is what the rooftop bar is for and let me tell you it is keeping with the Spanish theme of offering delicious tapas. The food and drinks were delicious and atmosphere is fun and relaxed. Be mindful they close early in the winter which was 7 pm on weekdays so I’m glad we got started at 5. The views are great and they have heaters up there. Try the empenadas and olive tapinade. I look forward to coming back and trying other small bites. Even the room key is the shape of the scallop shell standing for The Camino in Spain. Nothing disappointing and look forward to returning.

Wonderful stay. Great location historic hotel. Well kept. They even put rose petals and a bottle of wine in my room for our anniversary. Rooftop restaurant has epic views and good food. Parking included just across the street. Roaring fire in the lobby and a friendly person at the front desk. Even their keys are cool little wooden keepsakes!

They did a great job making my husband’s 40th birthday special. Very fun classic Laguna vibes and stunning views of the ocean! The staff was professional & helpful. Rooftop restaurant was fun. Location is within walking distance to a lot of shops. Well worth the visit!

Awesome boutique hotel! Very comfy beds and cool rooms. All the rooms are great and the themed rooms are really awesome! I have stayed in all of them over the past three years. Staff is SUPER friendly!! And of course The Rooftop Lounge is AMAZING!! Best rooftop in LB in my opinion!

Great location, and the roof top restaurant/bar was the best. Room was excellent with a great view. We were able to utilize the downstairs bar as well and the live music was good. There are lots of great restaurants within walking distance. Especially liked The Mozambique right across the street.

We booked this hotel with 3 other groups and we all paid the same price and we checked in first. Somehow we got put in the basement (1st floor) while the others were placed on the 3rd floor with views. Our window was frosted so no view. A bit disappointing when all we wanted was a nice hotel by the beach and not even see it or even the beautiful hills.
We were also next to the service area or something because we could hear all the clanking of dishes and stuff. Just wasn’t what we expected. The bathrooms are also very tiny so prepare for that.

The room decor was amazing ! Throughout the entire room, the level of detail was spot on. A perfect view of the ocean, literally checked off all my boxes. It has the bones of an older hotel, so much character with the beautifully done updates. Will definitely be back!

Visited Laguna Beach for one day and started at this beautiful place. Was pretty busy, reservations are recommended. Perfect place for a Sunday brunch. Great customer service.
