Wonderful, caring, attentive staff! They were helpful and worked very hard (lots of guests had been displaced by fires, including me). Breakfast is included and was very good.||Internet/wifi did not work/stay logged on for my laptop (not user error) my phone and kindle worked fine. Internet worked fine in the business center. The pool and spa really need to be acid washed and/or replastered (not the fire/winds, the pool cleaner was there and did the very best he could).||A good value for the money.

Maybe it's the pool view that every room has, or maybe it's the jungle like foliage that surrounds it, but it's always a really nice stay. The chef that cooks your made to order breakfast (not sure if he's always the same guy) is awesome! It's not just bagels and waffles. I had a pretty decent omelet. The house keepers are sweethearts and the rooms are always super clean.

I recently stayed at the Best Western and had a mixed experience. While the location was fantastic and the hotel was generally quiet, there were a few issues that detracted from my stay.
Firstly, I noticed stains on the window covers and bed skirt, which made the room feel a bit dated and not as clean as I would have liked. Additionally, I was informed that the water in the building would be shut off, which meant I had to wake up early to ensure I could shower and get ready for the day. I came here with my family and I was shocked how hostile they were to us. It was like being a tenant with a terrible landlord. The front desk lady snapped at us saying our room was messy and she was upset our kid left a suitcase on her bed. It took a few minutes for me to fully unpack how inappropriate this was. a) why does she care if our room is messy- it's a hotel for chrissakes, b) who on earth cares if a suitcase is on a bed- again, it's a hotel, c) what kind of hotel manager snaps at a guest like this and d) that is patently weird and intrusive overall. ||||The staff was also really rude and controlling in the breakfast room. This lady kept coming out and standing and glaring at everybody who was eating there like some kind of gestapo. What did they think we were stealing? Corn flakes?||||Whatever happened to hospitality? Who accepts money and yet treats people like this? ||||Beyond this, the hot tub was gross and really green. I think they have an algae problem.

Positive: Fairly quiet, yet close to 57 freeway. Custom made breakfast is a plus here, with very courteous and pleasant staff. Negative: We arrived during a torrential downpour, rare in Southern California, and had to ascend and descend on outside stairs to our 2nd level room.

Breakfast is pretty good. Made to order. Rooms are tired and in need of refreshing. The first night the rooms were pretty bad. Toilet wobbled. 2 air fresheners trying to cover up some kind of fishy smell. Stains on couch and carpet. Beds seemed comfortable and nice. No water for showers in the morning due to city construction. However, the staff failed to tell us upon check in. So we missed the opportunity to shower - and we were headed to a funeral. Management didn’t seem to care and referred to some paper notices posted in a very small font. The next day we ask for different rooms. We looked at 5 until we found 2 that would work OK. Still had some stains but somewhat cleaner. The last night someone threw up on the stairs. We told the front desk. They said housekeeping will get to it. They didn’t. People continued to step in it and track it all over - and probably into the carpeted rooms. Based on the reviews it seems like management cared more in the past than they do now. Disappointing. Lots of air fresheners in use vs cleaning well.
