First time we have stayed since gravity took over .. will a great spot. Such a hidden gem really. Excellent bedding and furnishing, modern west elm feel, clean, well equipped..their tea. Is so yummy. Quaint bar and fireplace in lobby, the perfect plug and lamp and electrolytes for my water .cucumber water in lobby. We dropped luggage and hit the trail Monday one for a long 6-7 mile stroll enjoying the views and weather. Lovely meal at Stella which is also still good..although maybe not the gourmet it had been back in the pop up days. This location is ideal because you can grab a meal or stroll in town, but also still be at squaw or North Star in minutes without battling crowds ..plus when it’s time to go..you are out quick . Front desk great and accounting .we stowed luggage w them on Monday..had a beautiful shoe up at Northstar w no people and stopped back by to grab our things, fill|Our water bottles and use restroom before driving back. Easy park, hooks for coats in room, boot tray..they have thought of everything. Our room|Did get a bit warm.. so didn’t sleep as well|As we should’ve..probably let guests up the temp as needed. Thank you again. Will be back

My late arrival to the Truckee area did not, unfortunately, provide me with enough time to fully enjoy all that this rustic hotel had to offer. Nonetheless, the room I stayed in was outstanding clean, appointed and spacious, with a wonderful walk-in shower.

In all respects, the service and personnel was outstaning.

All in all, the value was excellent.

Really cute hotel and we were excited to stay there. Great value and a good location. The bummer was that the sound proofing was NOT good. We had people in the room above us who were up until 2am in the morning and kept walking around their room (we couldn't figure out why...where is there to walk to in a hotel room? They also kept opening the sliding door every 5-10 minutes). The pipes kept making this squealing noise, too. It was just a very loud night and neither of us could sleep. It may for a challenging day skiing the next day.

The hotel was good. The location and property size is very good along with the service team. We found the staff very friendly and helpful.

There are a few things that made the stay less great, like the motion sensing light in the bathroom. The lights would go off numerous times while in the shower, thus you have to step out mid-shower to reactivate the light. It’s a huge annoyance, but also a safety issue, especially with young kids. Also, the restaurant being closed during the busiest week in Truckee created a lot of extra stress in finding places to eat for dinner. Wish it was disclosed that the restaurant wouldn’t be open ahead of time.

This hotel has the potential to be really great.

I had a great stay at Gravity Haus Truckee. I was super impressed with the front desk staff. They make awesome cocktails, are willing to give restaurant and activity recommendations, and are always friendly and kind. The hotel is a quick 3 minute drive to the downtown area and 15 minutes from North Star Ski Resort. Thank you for an awesome stay!

Alpine looking exterior. Decent, clean, fairly modern interior. Multiple USB ports. Small fridge. Bathrobes. Enough towels for a typical couple.
Nice hot tub fits 8-10 people.

I have stayed at this hotel before when it was previously owned by a European business or Fanily. The room was clean and the grounds are well kept. The hot tub was also clean, as well as the fitness room and sauna. It was located in a good place very close to a nice grocery store and small shopping area with a couple places to get food. The overall property it pretty well kept, pleasant and nice. It smiled good, and was visually nice and clean.

The previous owners had a very comfortable stay and nice bedding. Unfortunately, the current owners must have changed the bedding (maybe due to aging, which makes sense), however, unfortunately, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. I slept quite poorly. I had aching joints and the bed did not conform well to my body due to the either lack of topper or very flat nature of the mattress. It was quite awful after a day in the snow.

Also, we asked about a microwave in the room and they said they would bring it to us. But when we asked for it by phone (called front desk 3 times with no answer) and my their text communication method (did not respond for over an hour), I gave up and hauled the good to a microwave in the lobby. However, the microwave in the lobby was in a "staff area" and it was perched on a shelf in such a way that when i opened the door, it kept tipping on me. Trying to heat up the food was very precarious and challenging. I had to balance the microwave to keep it from falling on me, and not spill my food all over the place. The microwave was also very dirty, with splatter old food all inside of it. It was not a good experience.

I am saddened that the beds were the way they were and that the microwave situation was the way it went. I wish it were better, as generally it was a decent property in a good location. I need good sleep though and convenient methods to eat in the room, as well.

Friendly staff. Hotel/Motel feel but they fixed it up nice. Lobby is great and co work space is decent. Hot tub is fine but small. Thin walls so you hear everyone leaving for skiing at 6:30-8:30 am.
