I feel like I’ve left a review on here already but google is reminding me to do it again (maybe?). But anyhow, Montage Laguna Beach is hard to beat in terms of views, service, scenery, food, overall ambiance, and class (without sacrificing being family friendly). I’ve stayed at this resort twice now with my family and it’s been a pleasure each time. My two kids love it here and I think we’ll try to come as much as possible since it’s not too far from us in Northern California. The food is excellent whether you go to the lodge, eat by the pool, or get in room dining; it’s easy to not leave the resort for anything which is great when you are trying to have a relaxing time out. 5 stars all around and a big thank you to the Montage Laguna Beach team members that make it 5 stars each and every day!

The Montage resorts are a smaller group of extremely high end hotels, and we've now stayed at two. The Laguna Beach property is obviously amazingly beautiful, luxuriously appointed and maintained, but the real story here is the staff. Each and every person with whom we dealt, from housekeeping to the group sales people were pleasant and professional, and went out of their way to assist us and make our stay memorable. Our experience here was unparalleled in our past travel to many other comparably priced luxury hotels. The people here make the difference, although I would be remiss to not mention that the property itself is beautiful, impeccably maintained, with breathtaking views of the Pacific and Catalina Island.

I have been coming to the Montage for over 15 years. Always wonderful. On this visit, I needed some special attention to some details. The staff went over and above for me and my wife. I was blown away by the level of service and consideration. In particular, Jose at the front desk was so considerate and helpful. I also met his supervisor, Spencer. Another gentleman. Went out of his way to help us. And Vince by pool restaurant took such great care of us. So appreciative for these folks. Making our stay incredibly nice. That’s why the Montage is so great. They are apex of service. 2nd to none.

We always love stopping at the Montage for a pre dinner drink where we can get a spectacular view. This time I felt compelled to write a review as we had exceptional service from Nico! |He was so attentive and helpful, and had a fantastic energy! We look forward to coming back soon!

Our family heard wonderful things about the Montage and were excited to experience our daughter’s first beach experience - However, we were very disappointed. Madi at the front desk was beyond wonderful. Our upgraded room was beautiful. The location was beautiful. Our Mosaic lunch was lovely. Our downturn began when we were waiting for our room to be ready and looking to take advantage the pool with our 5 year old and needing to change we were told our daughter was not allowed to change in the spa area. Nor was anyone present at the pool for towels or food/drink order… Enough so we had to call via phone to ask for service. The lounge chairs were filthy. Our dinner at Loft was delicious, but both my husband and I got oddly sick overnight and following morning. Upon departure no attempt to assist to luggage into vehicle. Lastly, we are frequent 5 star hotel patrons and the atmosphere felt very stuffy and shunned to have a child with us regardless of specifically booking due to child friendly reviews/feedback. This is very not like us to feel such a way much less to leave a review. we had wonderful aspects… But overall very disappointed and underwhelmed.

Unparalleled Luxury & Stunning Views

Montage Laguna Beach is an absolute gem. From the moment you arrive, the breathtaking ocean views and impeccable service set the tone for a perfect stay. The rooms are elegant and spacious, with private balconies overlooking the Pacific. Dining at Studio and The Loft was exceptional, and the spa offered pure relaxation. The infinity pool and beach access make it a dream destination. Whether for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat, this resort exceeds all expectations. Highly recommended!

We had a great weekend getaway at the Montage. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The staff was excellent from start to finish. We were really pleased with all aspects of our visit. Definitely one of the best hotels that we have stayed at in the area.

We didn’t stay at Montage Laguna Beach because we were visiting our cousins, but they took us there for a delightful stroll around the property.
