There are so many positive things that I’d like to share about the La Cañada Thursday Club! I first toured the venue about 2 years ago and fell in love the moment I saw the courtyard. The beautiful big trees, the way the bright pink bougainvillea plants draped around the entrance gates, and the fountain with the beautiful teal Spanish tiles.. it was everything I could want and more! The garden out front is the perfect area to take photos with its shady green trees. My absolute favorite detail are the beautiful deep teal doors! Another perfect area for photos. The ballroom is equally beautiful! While the space does hold up to 130 people, it’s the perfect place for an intimate celebration and I loved that there was a tearoom area for our Photo Booth and dessert/coffee area. We absolutely loved our wedding! We loved working with Ani. You can truly tell that she enjoys doing what she does because she showed us so much care during the planning process, she always made us laugh, always checked in to ask how we were doing/feeling. She was professional and showed great attention to detail, made sure to answer any question we had and most importantly made sure we were happy! She worked well with our wedding coordinator and vendors and worked alongside Jose (venue maintenance worker). Ani even left us the sweetest message on our audio guest book (After the Tone). I’m so happy to have her voice recorded in our messages, she helped make our day so special and I will always thank her. Everything flowed so seamlessly! I also have to give praise to Jose, who does the maintenance and help around the venue. The day before our wedding we were able to access the venue to set up, drop off items, and Jose was there helping our family, answering questions. Even the day of the wedding Jose was there to step in and help and would check in our our guests as well! Our guests raved on how beautiful the venue and how helpful the staff was. We truly feel so blessed to have been able to celebrate our special day at the La Cañada Thursday Club. I wish I could relive our wedding day all over again, you could just feel the presence of so much love in the room. Thank you so much to Ani & Jose for making our wedding so beautiful and special!

We could not have asked for a more perfect venue than the La Canada Thursday Club! We attended one of the venue's quarterly open houses. We had all of our questions answered and left with a list of preferred vendors. These vendors have been with the venue for what seems like forever so that was a good sign. Working with Ani at the club really put us at ease throughout the entire planning process. She was attentive to every detail and helped us understand what worked best at the club. She supported us, our families, and everyone who was involved in our wedding. If you are planning a sweet and loving wedding with your closest family and friends, this is the venue for you! The outdoor garden and courtyard are gorgeous. The indoor space is warm and cozy. It is truly a neighborhood gem!

From start to end, we were so impressed by The Thursday Club. Our first visit was to one of their open houses and we booked almost immediately afterwards. It was only the third venue we looked at, but we knew it was the one. One of our top reasons for choosing this venue was the indoor and outdoor spaces available. We chose to have the ceremony and the dinner in the courtyard and the cocktail hour and dancing inside the ballroom. Next to the ballroom is also an adjacent tea room so throughout the evening there was plenty of space for our guests to flow and move about. We had a small wedding of only 50 people, but we definitely see how twice as many people would comfortably fit as well. The staff, Ani & Jose, were both so easy to work with and very accomodating. Between the venue and the caterer we hired, we did not have to find any outside rental vendors which made planning so much easier. The venue does require you to have at minimum a day of wedding coordinator, but honestly we are soooo glad we did have a coordinator. It made our lives so much easier and we were actually able to enjoy our day. We found out later that the venue and our coordinator worked together to solve a couple of hiccups during the event, but we were none the wiser to any of it! The Thursday Club will always be a part of our lives and we truly feel like we are a part of The Thursday Club community.

I have been doing weddings a La Cañada Thursday Club since 2015 and I absolutely love this venue! It is a beautiful Spanish-style venue with a gorgeous courtyard.

Chris and Betty go above and beyond for every single couple to make their wedding a memorable day, and their staff is amazing, so I really love working there as I feel part of the team.

Chris and Betty were incredible to work with, patiently answered all our questions, and ensured our day was perfect. The venue is beautiful, immaculate, and perfect for an intimate wedding. I had my wedding at the Thursday Club in March and I have so many wonderful things to say about this venue and Chris and Betty that it’s hard to know where to begin!

When I first visited the Thursday Club during one of their open houses, I was instantly in love. Aesthetically, the venue is gorgeous. The indoor and outdoor space at the Thursday Club is full of charm, romance, and elegance. I chose to have my ceremony outdoors, in front of the large tree. With the high walls surrounding the courtyard, it made for an intimate and private ceremony with virtually no sound pollution from the nearby streets. One of the reasons I chose this venue is that it was all relatively self-contained and close together. The ceremony site, cocktail hour area and reception were all just a few steps from each other making it convenient for the guests while still allowing for different atmospheres at once (loud music and dancing in the reception area and the outdoor cocktail area where guests could talk).

Aside from the beauty of this venue, talking to Chris and Betty is really what sealed the deal on selecting this venue for my wedding. Chris and Betty are professional, honest, hard-working, and they know everything there is to know about making a wedding run smoothly and beautifully. They made the entire process simple, straightforward, and painless. I highly recommend utilizing their rental services, especially the bar service. They allow you to bring your own alcohol as long as you use their bartenders. The servers and bartenders were friendly, fun, and efficient. They provided a list of preferred vendors which I used to hire all of my vendors. This made it seamless as each of the vendors had experience setting up and working at this particular venue.

My wedding was a dream come true and I am extremely grateful that Chris and Betty took such care and diligence in ensuring my husband and I were stress-free and happy. I cannot recommend this venue enough!

I love working at La Cañada Thursday Club for many reasons! As a wedding planner, it's always a pleasure getting to coordinate an event somewhere so classic and beautiful, and with a great team of people to work with! Ani was so great to communicate with throughout the planning process and made coordinating all the details leading up to the event a total breeze. On the day of, both Jose and Ani were so helpful and on top of anything we needed all day—helping to keep the overall flow of the event smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable!
