It’s a quiet, attractive motel with a friendly, helpful owner. She gave me a welcome rate cut for spending 5 nights. Rooms nicely furnished. I’ll stay there again when I’m in the San Rafael area. Good access from it to San Francisco and Point Reyes National Seashore.

Very clean and comfortable bed. Nothing extravagant, but great for the price. Very nice people in the office. Convenient to the highway and very quick little drive to the downtown area. Not a resort, but a very good place for an overnight stay.

seconds ago i got off the phone with a man detailing a hate crime. i asked a simple question about how to reach the manager. he proceeded to try and yell over me. i am suing this property for racism, abuse, discrimination, and a hate crime.

i am suing this property, after brazenly hateful treatment. including a call that took place 2 minutes ago.

Remodeled somewhat recently. Very comfy. Great location, especially for bicyclists looking to explore Marin and the Bay Area. Great cycling loop out around China Camp (road and/or trail). Other excellent routes in all directions. Close to downtown San Rafael - about a half-mile.

I would absolutely recommend the Marin Lodge!! My husband and I stayed overnight after flying in to San Francisco and to be close to Muir Woods for the next morning. Clean, comfortable room and very pleasant staff. Nicely landscaped to give a “woodsy” feel and yet a very convenient location. We would absolutely stay again, if in the area! What a gem of a place!

The hotel room was very clean and an okay size for two people if you're spending most of your time outside exploring. The bathroom is very small with little counter space. The television had few working channels. The family who owns the lodge is nice in person but not good at communicating before you arrive or after you leave.

We've stayed at this place multiple times whenever we are in town (we're from SoCal). Very friendly staff and clean rooms/amenities. They are also very close to restaurants in the area which makes it convenient for lunch and dinner.

I have stayed at Marin Lodge in San Rafael 3 times! The First time everything was to my liking, the Room #115 had everything I needed!
Then the Scond time & Tird time I was given a Rooms with Safety & Sanitary issues, as I saw Marin County Officials, the Morality Undercover intruder Criminals Airheads who have chased me around before and had access to o my car & had Vandalized my car and Stolen Personal Property out of my Trunk, were hanging out in the Parking lot Smoking Cigarette around my room as I have Allergies to Smoke and it's Smell and I have hard time to Breath or leave the window open for Fresh Air!
The Maganer named Norma and her Laud, Rude husband named Beethoven & their Criminal None English Speaking Latino House Keeper Criminal all participated in the Unlawful Invasion of Privacy out of my Rooms! And Each time I Complained about Unchanged Dirty Smelly Used Sheets ( was not Changed) & Stained Used Towels (was not Changed)& Broken Hair Dryer & Cold Water Showers & Broken Deadbolt Lock inside doors which made it easy for unlawful Entrys while I was taking Shower not in the room!
Each time after Shower I noticed Every thing in my room was Tampered With including Money & Cards and Recipes out of my Wallet all misplaced and missing important Documents out of my Bags!
Their Free Water Bottle & Sodas was allowed with Dirty Looks from the Husband who always Yaalled at me when I asked why are you looking at me like that? Am I doing anything Wrong?
Once I saw the Owner the Old Man sitting in his small Red Car in the Parking lot as Norma pointed him out to me and said that's the Owner of the Marin Lodge!
After My Stayed Bad Experiences at Marin Lodge in San Rafael, I don't think this is a 5 Star Motel as is being operated by Unprofessionals who have No Idea What Hospitality Business mean!
They need to Refund my Monies for their Poor Hospitality Treatments!
