Very comfortable, accessible, and great location. There are a couple of hotels nearby which seem fine too, but this one has some great personality and makes for a good choice over the chain hotels especially if you want that old Hollywood feeling. The small footprint creates super convenient parking in front and out back, and easy in/out to go on our day trips to Universal, Magic Mountain, Hollywood, etc. They have some muffins and a coffee machine out by the front desk at breakfast time, but you'll want to go out for breakfast. Fortunately, some good coffee and restaurants are walkable, and the front desk person can recommend places if you ask. Pool is extremely small, but if you are traveling with people who must have a pool available, the area is clean and cute, and one end appears to have some depth too. Rooms are a bit dated but comfortable and clean. Get a sandwich from the nearby Ghost Sando - those are delicious. We would definitely go back to the Tangerine.

We decided to take a quick trip to Universal Studios and needed a hotel that wasn't overly fancy but also not a subpar motel/inn. After finding The Tangerine Hotel on Tripadvisor with great reviews and an even better price, we gave it a shot, and I'm so glad we did!||This isn't your bougie luxury hotel, but it's clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Our room was spotless and neatly arranged, parking was super easy, and the location was absolutely perfect. When I checked in, Kamal (I believe that was his name) was incredibly welcoming and friendly. He even made sure that my special request for extra towels and pillows was taken care of before we got to the room - such great attention to detail!||The area felt safe, and as a nice bonus, they gave us $20 coupon for the Mexican restaurant next door (though we didn't get a chance to try it). There are also several other restaurants just down the street. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle free.||If you're looking for a great place to stay near Universal Studios without breaking the bank, I highly recommend Tangerine Hotel!

This is a cute little motel in a nice area, close to many restaurants and tourist attractions. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and even being on a main street, the noise was minimal. Small parking lot in hotel courtyard area but ample parking out back and in a safe neighborhood. They had tasty pastries available in the morning as well as a coffee machine with a variety of coffee, tea and chocolate options. Front desk staff were very kind.

This was my third time staying at The Tangerine. All three times, the rooms have been well furnished, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff is attentive and friendly, and there are many places to eat within walking distance. Quality linens and toiletries. Overall an excellent value, and I’m likely to stay there again. Far better than more costly places in the vicinity.

Experience can be hit or miss.

Front desk staff were great; very friendly and welcoming. They shared some of the local happenings the evening we checked in and were attentive. Lobby has a coffee machine, microwave, and water dispenser always available.

Breakfast is limited to local pastries brought in, but I have no issues with that.

The actual room experience was not too great. I got a ground floor room which did not have any typical flooring (just concrete shown in some published images) but quickly got over that. The room was in front of a parking space so there was a light on outside the window which still lit up the room at night despite closing the curtains. Second night I decided to push the chairs and tables against the curtain to block the light.

Unfortunately there is little soundproofing so a few children's squeals and loud walkers resulted in difficulty getting a good rest. The floor above must have had vinyl flooring because I could hear every door slam, footstep and movement of furniture at 2AM.

The final oddity were the pillows which were just four square pillows, for the king bed. Just too small for my preference.

Location is great and the staff is great, so your experience really just depends on the other guests around you.

We stay 2 nights in this very comfortable Hotel. Small bathroom, but all inside you need, big good bed, fresh coffe maker on room, USB charging, very clean rooms.|Great location to visit Universal Studios 15 - 20 min by car, Beverly Hills and Hollywood Boulevard 20 - 30 min.|Many thanks to the whole team of the hotel for the great service.

We had a fantastic stay. Many restaurants within walking distance and perfect for visiting Universal Studios. Heated pool and 24/7 front desk is a nice touch for such a small location. Clean and friendly service.

My only reason for 4 stars is because it advertises “breakfast included” but they only provide a small box of cookies with maybe a few pastries. This was for the entire hotel. Although the pastries were delicious and high quality it was extremely disappointing.

However, they have a complimentary machine that makes coffee, hot chocolate, cappuccino, tea, basically any breakfast drink you can think of. The drinks it makes are delicious and consistent. Overall we would definitely stay here again.

We recently spent our last night here before going home after a month long holiday in the States and it was a nice way to end our trip. Staff member at reception was so lovely - I believe his name was Kamal (apologies if incorrect) he was super friendly and lovely to deal with. One of our main reasons for choosing this hotel was its proximity to Warner Bros Studios as we had tour tickets. Was about a 10min walk so very convenient. The Mexican restaurant right next door was delicious. That was very convenient. The room was nice, vibrant, comfortable and clean. Considering our short stay we didn’t experience pool or coffee machine but nice they were there. Overall we were super happy with our stay here. Thank you
