This boutique hotel truly exceeded our expectations. The shuttle service was a game-changer for us, making trips to Universal Studios quick and easy. It was so convenient to have that transportation option available throughout our stay.||The kids absolutely loved the warm pool – it was the perfect spot for them to unwind after a day of exploring. We all enjoyed our meals at the hotel’s restaurant, and I have to say, the Brussels sprouts appetizer was hands down my favorite! So flavorful and unique.||Overall, the service was top-notch, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the amenities were just right for our family. Highly recommend The Garland for anyone visiting the area!

My son and I stayed at The Garland during our trip to Universal Studios. My first impression was that the property felt safe in comparison to the surrounding area. (North Hollywood). The ambiance was instantly charming and the staff were some of the most warm, professional concierge I have ever encountered. They really connected with my 11 year old and I like old friends- not just guests. The Garland truly checked all the boxes. We experienced exemplary accommodations, a cozy bed (coming from a cozy critic), prompt room service, great food, beautifully maintained grounds, clean pool area, even the gift shop was a surprising little gem! The complimentary trolley to City Walk & Universal was extremely helpful in keeping the trip cost to a minimum! Probably the only reason we didn’t rent a car. There were a few hotels right next to the theme park, but Im so glad we chose The Garland. It was truly a memorable experience that will stick out from all the other hotel experiences. Special shout out to Ami, Crystal, and Kenneth! You set the bar high!

We stayed at the Garland for a weekend visit. It's a short drive from Burbank Airport. The rooms are nicely appointed and the bed very comfortable. Rooms were clean and quiet. USB outlets in abundance. Decor pays homage to the hotel's roots. We loved the hotel but loved the staff more, very friendly and helpful. Next time we're visiting the Universal City neighborhood we'll stay at the Garland!

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Beds are so comfortable. Rooms well appointed. Pool area and green space are beautiful and so much to enjoy - foosball, board games, pool toys, etc. The decor is fun and the well-thought out places to relax or visit are so appreciated. ||Pool temp is great (82) / adult & family hot tubs … can see entire pool area from everywhere in the space so great to be able to watch your kids play from anywhere you are. Access to ordering food/drink from a service window at the pool is a great touch. ||Restaurant on site has amazing breakfast and full day menus. Trolley to Universal is much appreciated. ||Service from all staff is top notch!||I’ll be recommending this hotel to everyone!

We checked-in at The Garland Hotel when our family went to Universal Studios The hotel provides an hourly trolley to and from Universal. The Garland hotel is such a warm, cozy place and I loved the ambience. It felt like a resort with its unique character than a hotel. Rooms were at par with other good hotels, staff are friendly, helpful and the assistant manager, Angel was kind and welcoming. My family had a wonderful experience. There is a restaurant at location called the Frontyard. It has a patio and indoor dining. Food was delicious and the interior is nice.

Not being familiar with the area and being our first time to LA we were very reliant on reviews, online presence, and reputation. Everything we read was accurate! The property is very well maintained, the rooms are very clean, the pool nice, and the available transportation was precise. The staff were so friendly. It’s family friendly and a wonderful experience.

Outstanding property and that’s coming from a devote Marriott person. Clean, comfortable, great restaurant and an unbelievably fun retro style that is both modern & nostalgic at the same time. I never write reviews but I am this time because we enjoyed the hotel so much. I highly recommend the family suite. Thank you Jorge for the sneak peak of the theatre room!

The Garland hotel was amazing! I was solo but felt safe and welcomed by everyone. The facilities were great - I particularly loved their daily activities like a local walk round which included the Brady Bunch house. The pool and hot tubs were so warm and clean. Staff were everywhere keeping the areas tip top all day. Staff in The Store were really helpful and even helped me plan days out. The Front Yard restaurant served delicious and huge portions. The bar staff were really friendly. There were gas ‘log fires’ alight inside and out which made evenings cosy. My room had two queen sized beds, a glorious shower and free coffee (even decaf!) It really was a home away from home.
