We recently stayed at Mourelatos Lakeshore Resort, located on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. The resort’s prime location makes it the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. The lake views from our suite were absolutely breathtaking, making our stay an incredible experience.

Our suite was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with kitchen essentials. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. My husband forgot his wallet, and we didn’t have any physical ID proofs, but they allowed us to check in with a digital ID proof of my husband, which was a great relief for us.

Overall, it was an amazing trip, and the resort is absolutely perfect for couples and families. I especially loved their private beach, which had benches and fire pits—such a cozy and beautiful touch!

We had a last minute change of plans due to severe weather and they were so accommodating of it. They moved us to a different date free of any additional charges.

We stayed at the Mourelatos Lakeshore Resort in mid-January 2025. The Resort has an impressive location on the Lake, with a private beach and magnificent views. Our room was a Lakeview King, and it had spectacular views of its own. The rooms are a little dated, but are functional, clean and comfortable. We moved the sofa in the room to the foot of our bed for better TV viewing (and moved the small table and chairs as well), and also to better enjoy the views. The bathroom was spacious with a roomy counter and excellent water pressure in the shower. Our King bed was very comfortable. The room had a wet bar with sink, mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave and toaster, which was very convenient. All personnel were friendly and very helpful. The Resort is well situated, just 1 mile from Kings Beach, a short drive to Tahoe City, and about 20 minutes to Truckee. There are many good restaurants in the area.

Great location. On lake. Nice kitchen and room. Don't need to do the dishes. Just leave them in the sink. A bit noisy, but not too bad. Great location. Near great Italian restaurant, Lanza. Superb eggplant parmesan. Close to Safeway. Close to Nevada.

This is our 4th visit to Mourelatos and we couldn't be happier! The property serves breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe and mountains as well as lots of nice touches throughout. We loved indulging in an early morning hot tub with our coffee before setting out to the slopes. The rooms are very comfortable and have everything you could need for a family vacation or a romantic one. We loved the kitchen- fully equipped with a small stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker and all the utensils et al. The staff is also very accommodating. Every morning, we'd get a text from the desk asking if we needed anything (so efficient!) I can't sing higher praises. Summer time is also AMAZING here. They have all the watercraft to play on, boat rentals, fire pits, BBQ's. And its proximate location to Kings Beach, Safeway and the state line... its awesome.

We love staying at the Mourelatos when we ski at Northstar! The rooms are clean, well furnished, and easily sleep our family of 4. We usually book a room with a kitchen, so we can "eat in" and cook at the hotel. You can't beat the location - beautiful views from the beachfront property, and 15 minutes door to slopes at Northstar. Don't forget your swim suit so you can hop in to the Jacuzzi after a hard day on the mountain!

After our recent visit, we left a jacket behind. We didn't realize it until we had driven all the way home to the Bay Area (SMH), so we thought it was likely gone... but the Mourelatos staff went above and beyond to help us. They found the jacket and shipped it to our house! Just a great example of why we keep coming back to Mourelatos year after year - stay once, and you'll be hooked!

We love staying at Mourelatos! Quiet, relaxing, and such a great getaway! Fall is a little more kicked back. Some restaurants were closed. But we found some new places to explore and were not disappointed. Best sunsets ever! Will definitely return!

Mourelatos is located right on the lake and the view from my room was breathtaking! Haven’t had service this good in a hotel for decades. They texted me every day to see if there was anything I needed during my stay.
