Perfect place to stay. Safe, clean, great location and the staff asked more than once how our stay was going or if we needed anything. ||Stayed here for 1 night for an early meeting in town. Room was great. All the kitchen amenities anyone can ask for including plates, utensils, etc. DirectTV with all the channels. Well worth the price and if you never knew that Costco had a car wash…. It’s right across the street. Salt and Pepper Mexican food in the same parking lot had really good burritos also.

The Candlewood Suites in Turlock was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. The entire property was clean, well lit at night, and the room was quite comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and extremely polite. The pet relief area was well stocked with bags and was well lit, though there was a huge trash container that blocked it from the hotel itself, so it was a little "scary" at night. The wifi wasn't great as there was often a weak signal, which sometimes made connectivity difficult for me to work; however, it was fine quite a bit of the time, so it wasn't too much of a hindrance. The "cupboard" was well stocked and the free coffee was tasty.

Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We only had one major issue with the hotel. We booked through Booking.com for our overnight stay and chose Candlewood due to the hotel being a “pet friendly” hotel and we were bringing our 2 small dogs with us. The hotel was advertised as having NO PET FEE for pets under 80lbs according to their website. We were absolutely stunned at check-in there would be an astronomical fee of $75 per pet! We showed the check-in clerk the website stating no pet fees for pets under 80lbs and she apologized, but said that’s not their policy and they charge $75 per pet. She did call her supervisor and explained our situation and told her supervisor about the website stating no fee. They were willing to charge us for one of our dogs instead of both as a “compromise.” Although we appreciated the compromise, we were still disappointed and felt we were misled by false advertising. We would appreciate a refund of $75 for being misled by the website.
UPDATE: The hotel responded to my “review” and as a gesture of “goodwill” they’re going to refund the $75 pet fee we were charged when we checked-in. We are extremely appreciative and want to thank the hotel’s Guest Relations Manager!

It is a nice enough hotel and would have been fine for a one-night stop. But it is not the best option for any more than that.
The staff were nice, but the rooms are a bit older. The keys are terrible, I kept needing to get replacements and you need to jiggle them to make it open the door.
I'd stay somewhere else unless it is a quick in and out.

Overall, this was a great value. It was a convenient, safe place to stay, and the staff was excellent. It’s great for extended stays and short stays where you only need the basics. They offer free laundry washer and dryer service (you provide or buy the detergent and fabric softener), have a business center where you can print for free, have a very clean fitness center with cardio and weights, and have kitchenettes with full sized refrigerators. The cooking utensils are also provided. If you need a blender, crockpot, waffle maker, etc. you can borrow them from the “lending locker.” I was really surprised at how much they offered and that there were no additional charges.

We were pleased with the layout of the room. The kitchenette was very well stocked and all items were clean and in order. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. The bath products supplied were the "Dove" brand which is a very well known product. I would definitely recommend and book with this hotel again.

It was nice to have lots of room and a kitchen. But there was a bug when I arrived, the elevator was out of order which meant I had to carry everything to the 3rd floor. Slept well because th bed was comfortable. Pilot light from the stove was annoying.

The stay was good for what we needed it for. It would be great for someone to do maintenance on the refrigerator. It was extremely loud and disrupted my sleep. There was also a vent hood light that I could not figure out how to turn off. It also disrupted my sleep. Bed was comfy. Staff was friendly. Very close to Pedretti Sports Complex, which is where we were going. Not bad for where we needed to be, but a little pricey for the quality.
