This stay was not what we expected. We initially picked this hotel because it was close to our destination, it was a good price, and the pictures looked good. We did not expect the works, as it was a quick, cheap business trip, but this hotel was the worst place we’ve ever been to and the service was not helpful at all.

The bathroom was disgusting and filled with mold and soap grime. There were scuffs all over the place and we even found trash (and a loose sock) under the couch. The couch and ottoman were stained and one of the couch cushions obviously did not belong. The heater was broken and the maintenance guy was unavailable at first and then unhelpful the next day, as he did nothing to fix the problem. He did say we were supposed to have a remote for the AC/heater, which we did not have. The TV remote’s battery needed to be replaced as it almost died and was barely usable. The walls and ceilings are VERY thin and we would hear all our VERY VERY loud upstairs neighbors. The window shutters do not close all the way.

The “duvet” cover was just a thin polyester fleece blanket covered in one top sheet. We were so cold because of the broken heater that we had to ask for 2 blankets each, one of which was a plastic-y hospital blanket. The fitted sheet was just a top sheet that was very thin and became loose and untucked very very easily. They automatically charge a service fee for each day, even though housekeeping does not come for 3 days (unless specifically asked) and our stay was 3 nights.

Do not stay here unless you enjoy flooded rooms, hidden service charges and the like. They won't check you in even 7 minutes before 3 pm, have an extra service charge not disclosed on various platforms and charge extra for more than one room key. Clean, but should have seen the signs of damage - badly patched hole in the back wall, baseboards coming off etc. Woke up to a flooded room, we had bags on the floor, not fun. Manager was dismissive, and Agoda utterly useless. Just don't.

Friendly desk staff, minimal breakfast (they ran out of coffee and eggs a half hour before ending breakfast on the last day of my stay). Easy parking. Good location. Rooms are adequate (proper bathroom doors for privacy; not just those awful accessible barn doors). Cable TV offerings so-so. Iron and ironing board. Pool but no Jacuzzi. Shower wall and curtain had some blood stains, but not enough to resemble The Shining. Would stay again, for the price.

The room looks out onto an alleyway with no safety measures—just a 4-foot wall and a gate without a lock. As a result, someone broke into our room and stole a lot of our belongings. They didn’t even refund me for my stay, obviously I ventured to a different hotel immediately

It doesn’t smell good. It looks like they just repainted the property, which looks really good in pictures, but it still smells old. However, the people who work there are nice.

This review was a long time coming but I want to shout out Ruth for outstanding customer service. She helped me resolve an issue with my room same day and was able to make sure that the refund I was due because of another employees error was processed on time. On to the review! It really is a clean hotel in a great area, It isn't the ritz but for the price I dont care. The train station was a 5 minute walk and uber was always able to find me easily enough. The restaurants right across the street and next to the hotel were pretty good also. We were in town for a wedding and my girlfried was able to drop her dress off at the dry cleaners across the street and also get her nails done there. The breakfast was also pretty good and so was the coffee. All in all I feel like I got a great value for my money and I would definetely recommend this hotel!

The room was very clean with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Rooms are very quiet could barely even hear any other guests in the rooms next door. it’s in a very walkable area with markets and restaurants nearby as well as the convention center. I stayed for only 3 nights but they were a lovely few days there

Housekeeping never comes despite saying they come every 3 days. Had to ask twice after a week before someone finally showed up, just to not change the bedsheets. Room is generally dirty and damaged, showerhead is unhinged and swivels, floors cracked, bathroom faucet clogged. Walls are EXTREMELY thin. Nobody is ever at the front desk. $100 deposit was charged instead of held and they made it a hassle to get refunded. To top it off, "free breakfast" is cereal and coffee.

Green Tree Inn Pasadena cancelled my reservation with only 3 days before I was set to stay there and attend my professional conference. Their excuse made little sense - they said they chose me to kick out because my reservation was recent, when I had reserved a month prior, and colleagues staying there who made reservations later than me did not have their reservations cancelled. They made no attempt to remedy the situation. The price is affordable, but apparently the reservation means nothing. I recommend people stay away from Green Tree Inn properties. Don't get stranded!
