John and Annette are Wonderful people. Very accommodating, very kind .....The place is clean, and super cute! I Love the decor!! The grounds are well maintained....~ might even get lucky and see a deer on the grass!!! Would recommend for sure *

Best Location & Customer Service in town
I’ve stayed here & will not consider another location. The owner make sure you have Everything you need with a small town personal vibe. Adjacent to River, Food, Shopping , bars, Groceries.

So, I had a unique experience. Showed up, booked a room, and after booking decided to go another direction and camp on the river. Upon doing this, the owners, without hesitation understood and agreed to refund my money (with no fees or headaches). After doing this, we had some banking issues, I became concerned and the owners were attentive, communicative and helped every step of the way. Long story short, the refund went through seamlessly and I came to appreciate that the owners of this spot are solid people who just want everyone to have a good time. I appreciate them and their business--they could've easily refused to refund my money or be flexible.

Overall a good experience at the Riverview Lodge. The location is perfect with river access and right in the heart of town. Also, the owner was very helpful in assisting in my needs with my k9 travel partner. The rooms are basic and clean, the AC kept it comfortable in the 100* heat.

I Stayed at this property 10 years ago and it was cozy, quaint, and rustic...it was also clean and well maintained and the owner/operator was pleasant and welcoming. ||||We stayed three nights last week and it was horrible. The country blue carpet was stained horribly and actually looked gray in the traffic areas. The handle on the toilet fell off with first use, and none of the lamps were plugged in when we arrived. Fortunately there was a ceiling fan as the air conditioner shut off if turned lower than 75 degrees (it was 80 outside). Also, the advertised continental breakfast consisted of coffee only.||||The rooms and the grounds looked sad and unkempt. Lots of cigarette butts, brush, trash, etc. littering the property. The hand railings were old and splintered, and ready to fall. The light shining on our deck was a light bulb hanging by a wire. ||||We were never greeted or welcomed. We received a text message that our key and receipt was in the room and the door was unlocked. The owner/operators hung around our deck smoking and talking loudly while they panned for gold. Maybe more time should be spent cleaning up the property.

I knew this place would be rustic but I'm not ok with it not being clean. Carpet had stains everywhere. Bathroom was full of mold and hole in the wall. Toilet seat paint was coming off. We had food under our bed that wasn't cleaned. Ac cooled bathroom but didn't face sleeping area. Bed was very hard, didn't sleep the two night we stayed. Very disappointed in our stay. Coffee was good

We booked this room super last minute and due to a family emergency, which changed our plans. Annette and John were so helpful and accommodating, and quickly helped us get into a room for the weekend.
We got into our room and it was very clean! It was a cozy cabin theme which fits the hotel and location perfectly. The beds were extremely comfortable, room came with a microwave and mini fridge which was so nice!
The only thing that was better than the accommodation, and the hospitality was the view! Right out our window we had the best view of the kern River. We could hear the peaceful sound of the rushing River just feet away. It was amazing.
This hotel is also perfectly located right in the middle of the beautiful town of Kernville, it’s walking distance from multiple restaurants, bars, riverside park and rafting companies.
I will be counting down the days till I can come and stay at the beautiful Riverview lodge.
