Our stay at the Sequoia Lodge could not have been more pleasant. Being there in the off-season made us feel like we had the whole area to ourselves. We caught some perfect weather...|The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even let us have a package delivered to the property by Amazon. We sat right on the banks Kern river which made for some nice peaceful reflection to the babbling brook sound. Since there were so many roads closed up north in the Sequoia NP, we chose to not make that trip. But, by turning left out of our driveway and driving about 31 miles up the mountains we visited the Trail of the 100 Giants. The Meadow is 341 acres of giant sequoia's, incense cedars, ponderosa pines & others. There were only 5 other people in the park other than my wife & me. Highly recommend making that trip when you're in the area. |The room was immaculate, nicely outfitted with the things we needed & so easy to move into from our car parked about 8 feet away!! Don't miss out on this place if you're thinking about visiting the area...

We got a great sleep, the air is so fresh! Right by the river with cute fishing decor. Very clean room and the beds were really comfortable. The room came with popcorn. The kids were having a great time, definitely recommend. Also Jeremiah gave very helpful recommendations for hiking, fishing and dining in the area. We'd love to visit again!

Just came back from a 2 day getaway to Kernville. I picked Sequoia Lodge because of its reviews here and they are not wrong! This is a lovely place! Our room was comfortable, spotless and also very big. It has a cute kitchenette with sink, microwave and refrigerator with a freezer. Sequoia Lodge is right on the river. Beautiful location. The manager, Steve, was friendly and helpful! I highly recommend Sequoia Lodge.

Booked for my fiancé's birthday. Such a cozy feel in the rooms, definitely gives mountain cabin vibes. The gentleman at the front desk was super helpful and nice. His fishing tips helped my fiance land his first fish. Really liked that we could use the grills and seating areas around the property. Will definitely be coming back to stay again.

This place is an absolute gem! It's stunningly beautiful and such a delightful discovery. The receptionist at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to assist me. While the rooms may have had a slightly outdated aesthetic, they exuded a charming old-world vibe that added to the overall appeal. Despite their vintage charm, the rooms were spotlessly clean, which is always a top priority for me when staying somewhere new.

The beauty of the surroundings and the warmth of the staff more than made up for any minor imperfections in the room decor. There's something special about staying in a place with a bit of history and character, and this establishment definitely had that in spades.

From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of tranquility and relaxation wash over me. The picturesque views outside my window only added to the enchanting atmosphere. It was like stepping into a scene from a bygone era, where time seemed to slow down and every moment was savored.

Overall, my experience at this hidden gem was nothing short of delightful. It's the kind of place that stays with you long after you've left, leaving you with fond memories and a longing to return. I'll definitely be coming back to bask in the beauty and charm of this wonderful find.

The pictures are real. Clean nice room with good air conditioning and accommodations right on the river! Parking provided. Can walk down to the river and see and hear it from the rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. Conveniently close to downtown. I highly recommend this choice!

This place will waaaay exceed your expectations! Cute and charming, with direct access to the river that is NOT crowded! Rooms are big and clean, with kitchenettes.

I disagree with the other commenters statement that it's a little outdated as far as the decor goes. The decor is actually made to be like a cabin, with furniture made out of wood logs. So Kevin decor does look like the '80s decor, but there is intent behind it.

And it's cheap enough to just come hang out for the weekend, if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of a city and just stay in a tranquil peaceful place.

Has private access to its own private beach, too!

Right across the place is the General market and a barbecue place that serves breakfast starting at 7:30. So you will not go hungry, just go across the street and you can buy whatever you need, so this place is in a perfect location.

Needed a room for the night near Kernville and came across this lodge. The rate was very reasonable and the reviews I read were good. I was pleased to see that the lodge was basically on the river (short walk from room to the stairs that lead down). This was the cherry on top! The room was simple, clean and provided a great nights rest. Would definitely book/recommend a room at this lodge again.
