My husband and I were on our way to Desoto State Park to do some hiking and decided we would checkout a coffee shop. I am so glad we did! The ladies as were really nice! The shop is super cute and the coffee was delicious! I had the toasted marshmallow and my husband had the brown sugar. You will not be disappointed!

Strawberry spinach salad with poppyseed dressing is my favorite this week. The flavors are impeccable. I was hesitant because of the feta cheese but I am now a new fan.
The owner and staff are always very welcoming and friendly.

I found this unique small restaurant by accident looking for another place, and I'm very happy I did cause it is my favorite restaurant in Fort Payne, AL. Why, you might ask? It's not every day you pull up to a store front with large planters outside the shop windows full of flowers with outside patio seating. I liked the American flag flying outside, too. It reminded me of a cafe in Europe. As I walked in the front door, I immediately noticed modern bright white walls, old molding, and exposed orginal brick block wall bottom half. The jaged drywall with old school bricks was a nice touch to old life to new beginnings for this shop. I also liked the unique lighting with orange light shades that made it pop with the white and tan colors.
I loved this place not just for the decor but the food. I had the lemon bundt cake before my meal and liked the sweet but tart taste. The cake was moist, but just the right taste bite by bite.
The main course was a breakfast bowl with black beans, potatoes, fresh spinach, sliced avocado, spices, and two eggs over easy. The eggs over easy warm goodness ran down through the different layers was yummy. The spices were perfect with a little bit of heat. Loved it!
I also saw they sell great coffee and teas. The beans are from a town in Idaho, and I love to visit.
I did talk with the owner, who told me the inspiration for the shop and menu is from different places visited around the world. I knew there was a European vibe from my travels. I haven't made it to Spain yet but one day.
The best part of the food is that everything is fresh, not processed, and is very high quality and healthy. The prices were very reasonable, and there were lots of gluten-free options for people like me with an allergy.
I didn't get the owners name, but tell her I sent you.
This is a must stop if you are here for June Jam , just passing through or live here.
It's not every day you find clean, healthy, and gluten-free high-quality meals

Don't take my word for it. Go see for yourself!

This place is a gem! We were on a road trip and stopped in for breakfast and coffee. The menu is small, but it just means they focus on quality. My boyfriend got the Bakehouse Burrito, and I got the Bakehouse Bowl... both fresh ingredients and delicious! The decor is fresh, bright and beautiful! If I lived here, this would be a regular spot for me!

Amazing little spot in Fort Payne. The whole vibe of the place is super cozy including the bathroom. The homemade pastries all looked really good. I wish I could have tried them all. Would definitely recommend stopping in here if you are nearby.

I absolutely love it here. They decorating the establishment beautifully, their drinks are delicious and their breakfast sandwich just melts in your mouth. I always get the sandwich with added avocado and I get the iced chai latte. The staff are incredibly nice, willing to go the extra mile for you. They have amazing pastries too! I’m only disappointed that they close so early in the day!

Have y'all ever loved a food place SO much that you're irrationally offended by a less-than stellar review? ‍♀️ I LOVE The Bakehouse, y'all. There is NOTHING that is subpar or less than perfection--if you hate tomatoes or dislike ham, obviously you won't enjoy everything on the menu, but that's simply personal preference as The Bakehouse has served as my reeducation on what GOOD food is. If you're hangry and in a buffet/bottomless tea kind of mood, there are plenty of places for that and you should save Bakehouse for another day, but if you're in the mood for a delicious beverage (CAFFEINE or no), a sandwich and some Tomato Bisque that is 100% a problem for me, OR if you have time to go slap Great American Cookie Co. once you've had a Bakehouse Alli Oop, this is 100% your place. The owner and staff work so hard to ensure that not only is every order served to perfection, they are so kind and courteous that I'll be coming in every week and when I do they're more like family each time. Unfortunately for the spandex in my leggings, I stop in every week after teaching my yoga class at the ARC and until there's a restraining order or I can't fit through the door, it will be one of my most favorite things that I look forward to each and every time. Everything about the Bakehouse is worth it--price, people, and the best food made with lots of love, all via Bakehouse And never fear--free refills aren't ceasing to exist, but before the rage sets in, consider cost versus clearing overhead and providing for your family by sharing your delicious creations with the world...I'll gladly pay ❤️ Find you a Bakehouse that you love so much you write and delete your review 5 times just to ensure you cover everything...‍♀️‍♀️
