First of all, welcome to Chinle and Canyon de Chelly. Please enjoy the park and the tours through the park via jeeps or horseback, and our hiking trails. There is plenty to do and the scenery is so beautiful. Remember, you are on an indigenous homeland and thus, there may not be all the amenities you may be accustomed to, but please do enjoy the area. The hotel is okay, but for Chinle, this is one of the best ones here. I have stayed here many times for work and for pleasure and I do recommend it. It is getting a bit dated, but overall it beats camping. The rates are also excellent when you compare to other areas just off the Navajo Nation. The rooms are clean, the water is hot, the rooms have great heaters and coolers, and there is a restaurant and pool on the premises. Enjoy!

The hotel is a bit dated but very comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed having a balcony. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. It's a great location for joining a tour of Canyon de Chelly or driving the north or south rims. We had a yummy Navajo taco in the restaurant. Bring drinking water. The hotel water is discolored. You can also get filtered water in the fitness room. I recommend staying here for a Canyon de Chelly visit.

We had the worst stay at Holiday Inn ever here!! The Aaron guy who is the Reservations Manager had the worst attitude and refused to refund our stay. When we checked in we had to change rooms multiple times before we could settle in, due to weed smells, giving us 1 bed instead of 2, and the last room the toilet didn't work. 3am trying to get the toilet to work, we were refused additional towels (and general toilet help) until day shift arrived. When I requested to cancel our second night stay and a refund- Aaron never apologized, stared at me with a cold glare, and only offered 2 breakfast coupons for the trouble. Despite the dining room being booked both days we stayed there, the coupons would have been useless. My third party booking requested the refund as well and Aaron treated them disrespectfully, as well. He was friendly to only certain tourists. We had to rebook with Best Western and the rooms were way better and the staff was super friendly there. This location ought to be ashamed of how they run their business , it is well known to the locals about the Aaron guy being rude and this location going down hill. Garcia's used to be a nice restaurant, now it's just rented out to people the managers know. Beyond disappointed by the treatment we received right before the holidays. I agree with another review that this place needs to be investigated by IHG.

Nice enough, older Holiday Inn with 3 separate buildings. A little confusing when you first pull in as to where to go to park and check in. Front desk clerk was very nice, hotel was mostly empty in early November. The restaurant on site was good, but nothing to write home about. Clean, reasonable price, nice people, good location for visiting Canyon de Chelly. Just what you expect from an older HI.

This was a very nice hotel in Chinle. We took a Canyon de Chelly tour, scheduled at 2pm, and the hotel staff allowed us to check in 2 hours early, which was nice for us to get settled in before our tour. The room was very nice and clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable and we did have a good night's sleep. 12pm check out was great because we needed the extra time. |There is a restaurant there and we are there after our tour. Menu and prices are good. We shared a Navajo burger and I'm glad we shared because the portion was huge. |There is a pool here but we didn't use it, and there was a guest laundry that I did use. The grounds were beautiful and clean, but I did question the green water in the pool which was why we didn't use it. |Our only disappointment was the gift shop that is now permanently closed. It looked so great in the pictures. There is a visitors center next to the hotel but that gift shop looked better.|All of the hotel staff was great. We would stay again.

Clean rooms, quiet, neat entrance to Canyon de Chelly. Very convenient and reasonably priced. Breakfast in the dining room was not great but our only option at that time. Highly recommended if you’re touring the canyon. Tour guides pick you up at hotel.

The clerk that checked us in was not friendly or inviting. We had gone in at 2 and asked if we could check in early, he said none of the downstairs rooms were ready, I asked if he had an elevator, he grunted no. I said no problem we will come back later, I asked if we could check in and just come back in a couple of hours, again a grunt no. We were planning a drive through the south side Canyon rim. On our return 2 hours later he was just as indifferent.

There was no greeting no offer for even a bottle of water. When we checked in there was a pair of sneakers in the closet. I put them outside and I let one of the employees know they were there.

We had purchased breakfast with our stay but drinks were not included.. Not even coffee?

Not staying here again.

The staff was very nice. Food was decent. Room was super clean but super dated and the odor was terrible. The central corridor smelled like fish...I mean, very strong rotten fish...and so did my room when I tried to use the AC. As well, the room smelled musty and old. Without remodeling the room and tearing out the drywall, carpet and other interior finishes, the smell will never go away. The place just needs some TLC. I would recommend the place but only because there are no other options in Chinle and the location, cleanliness and staff were great.
