Disappointing Experience – Poor Service & Uncomfortable Stay

We recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it was not a great experience. Upon check-in, despite having prepaid for our stay, the front desk insisted that our payment wasn’t on record. It took quite a bit of time and effort to get the issue resolved, which was frustrating after a long day of travel.

The room itself was underwhelming. The bed was incredibly thin and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. For the price, we expected at least a decent mattress, but it felt more like a cot.

Overall, the poor service and lack of comfort made our stay disappointing. We wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

This hotel is a rip off, most of the amenities will be "closed" for some guests, staff are invisible and have no value for customers, breakfast is horrible, housekeeping is pretty much non existent, beds are old and stink, the list goes on.

All the positive reviews here are either fake or paid for.

I strongly urge NOT to consider this hotel if you are in the area and you are better off staying somewhere else than here.

Fairfield inn & suites Oro Valley Arizona ||It's in one of the most beautiful areas of Tucson. It's conveniently located from the Highway. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service  staff who are working. || I was greeted at the front desk by a young person who was so very positive and did their best to make sure I felt welcomed and recognized my membership status. The manager came out and talked to me as well.  I also was given a special elite status parking space. It's a newer hotel and everything is in tiptop shape. ||There are several nearby chain type restaurants that can accommodate a family and some have bars so if you're a single person you can sit and eat. Many have  reasonable good tasting take out. Of course the nearby city of Tucson has lots of really good individually and family-owned restaurants with different types of food. It's also very close to Catalina state park, which is a favorite bird watching area for me. It also has a lot of cultural areas that i'm interested in. I'm also a member of the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. It's about forty five minutes away which is not that far. Distances are all relative in the West. But for me I really like this hotel in its location. ||They also have  a hot breakfast. It was typical fare and was hot and plentiful. They had the usual good stuff where you make your own waffles and have sausage scrambled egg and fresh fruit, juice, muffins, bagels and stuff like that.  I have to say I was very pleased that the attention the staff made to making sure breakfast food was hot plentiful. I always tip the breakfast person and housekeeping, it's an old school way of thinking and I hope people consider adopting it in these times.||The manager was always ready with a suggestion a local restaurant for a reasonable good tasting take out or a bar with  a nice sit down area. The rooms were clean and well appointed as well as modern and quiet. I will stay there again this winterin Marchand April.  It's fairly close some good breakfast places should you not want to eat breakfast at the hotel.||When I registered I had to do so online because I was turning in mileage but after I registered i called directly to the hotel by phone to discuss the type of room I wanted. I find I get better results with the type of room I want. ||

Overall a great choice for the Tucson marathon. Close to many of the race events. Surprisingly quiet!

Great complimentary breakfast and beautiful location. We had a great stay. Is it the perfect hotel? No, but for the price it was an outstanding value.

Our stay started off rough when the first room had a strong sewage smell, but the staff quickly moved us to another room. The team was friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. The gym was small, the hotel is in desperate need of updates and breakfast was just meh. On the bright side, the location is excellent—close to shopping and right next to the delicious Molinito Mexican restaurant.

Everything was clean, looked new. Room was roomy enough. Only issue I had was the gard bed and ice maker was as far from my room as it could be.
Staff was personable and not grumpy.

Pool closed during summer. Hotel is average at best and needs to be refreshed. Gold elite and room on first floor with view looking at parked cars. Bonvoy upgrades and requests are not honored. Air conditioning not working correctly. Thermostat cannot be adjusted so either too hot or freezing cold. Stains on draperies and furniture. |Would not stay here again
