I booked my stay same day so I’m unsure if this makes a difference. They would not allow me to check in prior to 3pm. Once I did check in, the room was not ready. I was jet lagged and couldn’t wait to nap so this was frustrating.
The common areas are well maintained. Housekeeping was mopping the lobby when I came in. It smelled strongly of pine sol.
The hotel itself is sort of dated. The hallways have a distinct smell.
I had a Mountain View room. The view from the bedroom and the balcony was pretty. There is a lot of traffic noise out there, but inside it wasn’t loud.
The unit had been updated and the flooring is newer. The toilet was hard to flush. It had a sewer gas smell in the afternoon but it went away. The air conditioning would randomly go off and on, not necessarily when it reached the target temperature.
At some point during the night, the AC switched to heat so the room got pretty warm. I opened the door to the balcony for a bit to cool it off. Unfortunately, there was no option to turn ac back on.
Beware they charge a daily fee for parking.
The bed was comfortable and it had nice large pillows.
I left prior to breakfast so cannot speak for that.

The room was as described and had all the needs for a conference visit (mini fridge, microwave, kitchenette w sink). The separate bedroom was a nice touch and all of the finishing were nicely updated. The bathroom door in my room was difficult to close and rubbed and got stuck in the floor when opening so I just used the bedroom access. When I purchased a few food items I was told I could not get a receipt and I was disappointed because I will not receive my reimbursement for the meal or have an accurate itemized cost of my travels. When I went down for breakfast on Saturday, it was all dark and found out they didn’t serve until much later than the weekday. That was very disappointing. Other than that it was very clean, staff friendly, had nice amenities I didn’t really get a chance to use but still available for guests.

Upon arrival, I noticed that the property appeared clean and well-maintained. The main lobby area was very nice.
We received our room key and were assigned a handicapped-accessible room, which was not specifically requested, but I assumed it would be suitable. It was patio level facing the parking lot where the cars are within a couple feet of the "lounging patio" area. This was not relaxing at all and felt slightly unsafe as people could see into the rooms with ease.
Upon entering the room, it became apparent that the decor was somewhat dated. The bathtub/shower exhibited some rust, and the handle on the manual shower head was broken, resulting in a dripping sound during the night; however, closing the door mitigated this issue.
The televisions were nice and large, but the one in the bedroom may need replacement as the picture quality was pixelated, making it difficult to watch. Additionally, the couple in the adjacent room had a dog that barked while they played catch with a ball. The walls were quite thin, allowing us to overhear portions of their conversations. Fortunately, our schedules aligned, minimizing disturbances.
The hair dryer in the bathroom was outdated and posed a safety concern. My hair became caught/tangled in the end of it, and I had to forcibly remove it without the aid of scissors.
While the complimentary breakfast was a benefit, many of the items were cold, and there were no utensils available. We had to request coffee cups (made of cardboard) to use the coffee machines, as no staff members appeared to be actively monitoring the breakfast area.
A guest from another room and different floor was able to access our room as we were getting ready for our day. Not sure how someone elses key was able to access our room?
The most enjoyable aspect of this stay was its convenient location relative to our purpose for being there, and I found most of the staff members to be pleasant and engaging in conversation.

This used to be a really nice hotel. Not anymore. Very rude and indifferent junior staff at the front desk. And the “free” breakfast is beyond abysmal. Absolutely ice cold eggs and potatoes at the buffet. Weak coffee like dishwater. And they’ve redecorated the rooms and made every surface a different shade of depressing Home Depot House-Flipper Grey. But the worst thing about the rooms - some dumb electrician wired them so that there is a “master switch” which means that you have to keep the very bright overhead light in the living room on if you want to turn on the bedside table lamps. Otherwise they won’t turn on! Which means that when you want to go to sleep you can’t just turn off the bedside light, you have to get out of bed and turn off the master switch in the living room! I recently stayed at a Hilton hotel, and I must say, it was a deplorable experience. After a long day of working in the heat, I returned to my room, only to find it a sweltering 85 degrees. Having suffered from heat stroke, I was desperate for a cool, clean space to recover, but that’s not what I got.
The room quality was shockingly poor. I noticed brown stains in the shower and paint chips scattered throughout the space. It felt neglected and in rough shape, definitely not what I expected from a Hilton.
Parking added another layer of frustration. It’s handled by a third party via QR code, and despite my efforts to follow the process carefully, I consistently found tickets on my car each morning.
When I brought these issues to the staff’s attention, their response was dismissive and unhelpful, stating there was nothing they could do.
In summary, I highly recommend avoiding this hotel. The lack of quality, care, and customer service made my stay miserable.

Staff were pleasant but the room smelled of sewer gas for two days and it seemed like there was just nothing they planned to do about it. Each time I asked nothing could be done so I just had to hold my breath. It was nauseating. The sheets had a large black stain on them, the bedroom lights would randomly turn on during the night (guessing the remotes from other rooms affected them) and you wouldn't want to walk barefoot on the floors.

Staff were accommodating and the room was nice. Jasmine at the bar did a great job! She was really helpful and nice each night I was there.

My recent stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton Tucson Paloma Village was a mixed experience, balancing several positives with a few notable drawbacks.
The Good: The rooms were impressively clean, making for a comfortable and inviting stay. Housekeeping did an excellent job maintaining a high standard throughout my visit. The staff was another highlight; everyone I encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to assist with any needs. The complimentary breakfast was a pleasant surprise, offering a variety of options that were both tasty and satisfying—a great way to start the day.
The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the pool area was a letdown. Despite the appealing photos online, the pool was dirty for the entire duration of my stay. When I inquired at the front desk, they explained that this was due to a lack of staff, which left me disappointed as a clean, well-maintained pool is a key part of the hotel experience, especially in Tucson’s warm climate.
Another unexpected issue was the $12 daily parking fee. When I booked through Priceline, it was advertised as free parking, so this charge came as an unpleasant surprise. It's worth noting this to avoid any confusion or extra costs during your stay.
Overall: Embassy Suites by Hilton Tucson Paloma Village has a lot going for it with its clean rooms, friendly staff, and good breakfast. However, the cleanliness of the pool and the unexpected parking fee were significant drawbacks. With some improvements, particularly in these areas, this hotel could offer a much more satisfying stay.
