We stayed here over New Years with our family and my sister’s family (kids ages 12, 10, 6, 8, and 5). We all found the property beautiful and well maintained. The rooms were comfortable even for 5 people. The kids loved the pool which was heated to a very comfortable temperature. We ate at the restaurant on property and found the food to be good (if not great) and the servers bent over backwards to accommodate our party of 9 at the last minute on New Years Eve. We found the lobby to be a cozy spot to hang out and play cards and the nature trail was a wonderful way for our kids to see the desert and move their bodies. I highly recommend this resort for a relaxing family vacation.

The room was nice and spacious, but not very soundproof as I could hear my neighbors’ conversations very clearly. The doors slammed shut, which rattled the whole room. Every staff interaction (front desk, bellhop, room service) was met with lukewarm hospitality, as everyone was exhausted. It was a beautiful property, very removed and secluded, safe feeling, and the views were lovely, but I would choose a different hotel next time I’m in Tucson.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Restaurant is very nice too. The suite was excellent until somebody moved into the one above us, and then you could hear every foot step as the floor creaked. The facility is quite old and quaint, but with that comes the creaking floors. On the plus side of being downstairs is that the patio opened up right on to the desert.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights. The room layout is great, lovely service & incredible views/ property!
Pros:
- the pools/ hot tub options
- the property, trails and views
- the location is scenic
- rooms are nice with a patio

Cons:
- only 5 TV channels work
- pillows are awful.. lol
- shower head isn’t great

We love the space in the bathroom, and the cleanliness was nice! Rooms seem to be relatively updated! We did go to the front lobby for breakfast, it was “okay” nothing special. Service was great though! Would definitely stay again!

Unfortunately our one night stay was far less than satisfactory. We were in transit through Tucson with an RV- 36’ towing a 1/2 ton. I phoned in advance about parking the unit overnight and was told “no problem”. Of course it was a big mistake to pull the unit up to the front entrance. We ended up blocking traffic. One of your staff was very helpful in helping me maneuver the unit to the upper parking area where it was at least out of the way a bit. We booked into your restaurant for 5:30 and at 5:15 I got a call from your front desk asking if I would move my unit to a lower parking lot as the parking was needed due to being busy. I said no. In the morning on assessing the tight quarters, I was left with no alternative but to disconnect the 1/2 ton and jockey the rv to get it out of your parking lot. There were dozens of empty spots in the parking lot in the morning by the way so I am not sure what the parking crisis was. Adding insult to injury we had no heat in our room - #308 (terrible room by the way). The system blew cold air all night with temp down as low as 55 degrees. The status said the room was “ unoccupied”.
So, no, we did not enjoy our stay.

My stay was very enjoyable due to the wonderful staff working. Those that come to mind that were especially helpful and gave so generously of their time were Robb, Diane, Aiden and Chris. I would recommend to my friends and colleagues this resort. The rooms were spacious and clean. Most of the amenities were without charge which was new to me as most other resorts have a charge for off site visits and laundry. A big mahalo (thank you) to the wonderful staff.

Greg was the best bartender/server that we’ve ever had! Super accommodating and very educational with the complimentary tequila tasting. Service was exceptional! Will definitely come back again!

Lovely, spacious room, with beautiful views! Property tends to be less manipulated and more natural than most Tucson resort properties (which I feel is a plus). Definite nods to the era it was built in, as the mid-century details are seen throughout, and yet the room we stayed in was fresh and current. As we walked the property, one could envision the setting to be a lovely place to have a wedding, stay-cation, or holiday get-away. We will definitely stay again and hopefully have more time to explore the horse stables and nature trails. PS the pools are well kept and super refreshing!!
