Such a great find! The rooms are so nice and the price was excellent for what you get. Staff was so kind to check me in after hours. View from balcony rooms are amazing. No breakfast or coffee but within walking distance of both. I will definitely go back

Amazing Stay at Sedona Village Lodge!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my recent stay at Sedona Village Lodge! From the moment I walked in, I felt warmly welcomed and completely cared for. The star of my experience was Rosemary at the front desk. She is truly a gem!

Rosemary went above and beyond to make my visit extraordinary. Her genuine kindness, attention to detail, and warm smile instantly put me at ease. She ensured every aspect of my stay was perfect, from answering my questions about the area to recommending the best spots and trails to explore in Sedona.

The lodge itself was cozy, clean, and full of charm, but it was Rosemary's exceptional service that made my stay unforgettable. She embodies the true spirit of hospitality, and I am so grateful for the care and thoughtfulness she showed me during my time there.

Thank you, Sedona Village Lodge, and an extra-special thank you to Rosemary! You turned a great trip into a truly memorable experience. I can’t wait to return!

To start out with this piece of advice - if you are planning to be here for any time other than arriving very late at night and leaving very early the next morning I absolutely do not - I repeat - Do Not recommend the "classic standard" rooms. And I do also suggest taking the time to look at the photos on the website. If you see any room with only one picture, that's pretty much it. A bed and a bathroom. And the rooms are tiny. The ones below the main level have a bleach odor to them and I'm pretty sure it's because the laundry room is nearby. ||The people at the front desk are nice. We didn't do what I recommend and we booked our room based on the price. Once we got there we were quite disappointed and fortunately there were other rooms available. We were happy to pay the price difference so we could have a room with a kitchen area and a little sitting area. We stayed for several days and we enjoyed our stay. We were just really glad that we were able to upgrade our room. ||The thing we liked about staying in the Village of Oak Creek is that it's quieter than in Sedona. Where this lodge is located is a pretty good location. There is a large parking area in front of the lodge and other businesses are nearby. There are some good restaurants in the Village, as well as a very nice grocery store. And lots of nearby hiking - some of the trails you can walk to so that saves on trying to find parking by the trails.

I can’t speak highly enough about my experience here. First off- Great price, and super convenient location for a lot of the main hikes. The rooms are extremely clean. Microwave and fridge in room so I could save money on food. I was greeted so warmly by staff, then the next day given great recommendations for things to do. The cleaning staff was also extremely kind. These staff will truly go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. Definitely would stay here again due to how helpful everyone was, and how clean it was. Highly highly recommend. They also have a lovely balcony for morning coffee or stargazing. See pics.

We arrived to our room to be BLASTED in the face by deodorizer or cleaning chemicals. It smelled like the doused the room in undiluted lysol and that was it. The bed sheets also smelled SO strong like perfume and detergent that we were sneezing. What happened to hotels washing in bleach and linens smelling nice and fresh? Luckily we don't have allergies but if someone does they would've broken out so bad. The headboard in room 103 was caked with dust and so was the top of the TV. We found MULTIPLE long black hairs embedded in our sheets 🤢 there was crumbs and hair in every single drawer available. The shower I think was maybe an ADA compliant shower but there was no door or curtain so it just soaked the bathroom floor. The fact that we had to leave our door open the first hour we were there to attempt to air it out was so infuriating. I got a headache within 5 minutes of arrival. The women at the front desk was very friendly and helpful showing us different landmarks on the map but that's where our excitement ended.

Our room had the worst, saggy mattress of any hotel or motel we’ve ever stayed in and we travel extensively. It sloped down toward the head end and was lumpy all over. Every time we moved in the night it made so much noise. The wooden bits that were supposed to be a bed head, made it very uncomfortable to sit against. It is time for this lodge to bed some new beds and mattresses. The room was fairly clean and had a fridge and microwave but no coffee maker
The shower in the bath was great but this does not make up for the very poor bed. Unfortunately we had 2 nights here😩
We do not recommend the Sedona Village Lodge.

This was one of the most bizarre and unbelievable experiences of my entire life March 2024. An elder woman with shoulder length white hair and glasses was very friendly and pleasant to the family in front of me in the lobby, then she took a very long time showing them to their room while I waited for her to return. She came back and got behind the desk and started looking down at some papers, I approached the desk with no greeting or eye contact yet, and she became very curt and abrupt. She tossed the room key at me after the check in was complete. I went to my room and was over taken with the worst chemical smell Id ever smelled in my life. My eyes and nose started burning and running and my throat closed up and I began gasping. It was as though I had walked into a bug bomb fumigation or something, it was as strong as pepper spray. My lungs were burning by the time I finsihed bringing my bags. I also noticed the room was filthy with stains all over everything and the bathroom was disgusting with grime buildup all around the shower. I opened all the windows and ran back to my truck. I called the front desk and she didnt answer so I left a message explaining what had just happened and that I was outside. I sat in my truck for an hour. until I could open my eyes again. It was as if I had been pepper sprayed. I walked to the room and the smell was gone. I went to the office and she was in there so I said “yes Im the one who just left you a message about my room’s chemical smell” and she blurted at me before I could finish- “yes and YOU CAN LEAVE” -I was shocked. Then she started yelling at me that there was nothing wrong with the room. I couldnt believe it. She said she didnt believe me so I showed her to my room to show her how dirty it was even though the chemical smell had dissipated. I showed her how filthy the bathroom and bed linens were, there were stains every where and she shreaked at me “well you must just be a neat freak! I bet your home is immaculate! Is your home IMMACULATE?!” She said I had to leave and she was kicking me out of the room. At no point was I combative or difficult at all. Other guests were walking by the room and looking in at her screaming at me but no one stopped to help of course. I couldnt believe what was happening so I started filming her. She changed her tone when I started filming and began a very sarcastic and condescending “We are so sorry for the condition of your room but youre welcome to leave” speech. I told her I was not leaving as there were no other accomodations available and it was now after dark and I had traveled half a day. I wanted another room but she said no. I couldnt believe this was even real. Finally she left the room but was still being combative toward me. She said she was going to have me kicked out of the room. I slept with all the windows open in the room and the next day my lungs were still on fire and burning.I went to the front desk again hoping to speak with a manager and complain. It was a stoner guy with dead eyes and zero reaction who acted like he didnt believe a word I was saying nor did he care. He said shes “normally really nice” so he didnt really believe me. I went back the next day and again another hippie guy who acted the same and also said shes nice and he acted like he didnt believe me either. Finally on the third morning I got one of the owners, he was much more polite and listened to my story and gave me one free night in the room. He actually apologized and acted appalled and said he was going to talk to the lady about her behavior. He was actually a nice guy and didnt treat me at all like the staff but he seemed like he wasnt totallly in charge of hiring or firing either and like he probably wouldnt do anything. I still cant believe the whole thing even happened, and of course she stopped screaming at me when I started filming so of course I have no witnesses or film of her bizarre behavior, just the sarcastic part. Not only that, I sustained a burning feeling in my lungs for like 2 days. It was out of this world, I couldnt believe it.

Some friends and I stated here for a few years ago and I regret not leaving a review sooner. This place was truly a little gem. Very cool building (we got actual physical keys for our room which I loved), very cozy interiors, amazing views, and close to the town and many hikes. It's also one of very few places in Sedona and nearby area that is actually affordable. Thankful for our little stay
